I was in Mühlheim for medical reasons in a nearby Praxis/Surgery clinic and my stay in this apartment was perfect. I was so happy that I was there twice, and I will come back certainly for my next stays. Perfectly located (1 minute from the clinic), fully equipped, friendly staff and the check-in and check out process were smooth and contactless (which gave me the flexibility I needed as I was not sure of the time of arrival due to traffic conditions). I highly recommend this apartment and as said I will come back.

Location was fine and there is enough parking space - the room I eventually got was very spacious (basically an apartment) and the woman (I suspect owner) was helpful.

Nice location! House is located in a quiet residential area and centrally between Oberhausen and Düsseldorf. House is fully equipped, but above all very neat and clean. Coffee is ready, good and firm beds that are already made upon arrival. The towels are ready. In short, everything went very well! The host himself is extremely friendly and helpful. The gentleman even brought a dog bed and food bowls. We will definitely come back again! Thank you Carsten for everything!

This is a really classically styled traditional hotel. It’s really clean, and they clearly keep well on top of maintenance here. The room was quiet and peaceful, the bed was comfortable and I got a great nights sleep. The staff were brilliantly kind. I had asked in advance to store a bicycle, and this was remembered when I checked in and it was well accommodated. The breakfast was lovely, with a good selection which I enjoyed. It’s really hard to find a fault here - it was great.

I was sceptical about the hotel due to some of the reviews...

I was sceptical about the hotel due to some of the reviews although I must admit that my room was compact and had everything I needed; the bathroom was newly renovated, I think. The room and bathroom were clean. No doubt, I would stay again given the opportunity.

I recently visited Essen, and it was an amazing experience.

I recently visited Essen, and it was an amazing experience. The city blends modern architecture with rich history, and I loved exploring its' cultural landmarks, like the Zollverein Coal Mine industrial complex. The food scene is fantastic, with plenty of delicious local options. Public transportation is efficient, making it easy to get around. Essen is a perfect mix of industrial charm and contemporary flair. Highly recommend it

Definitely not a 4-star hotel.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. First of all, the room lacked basic amenities: no safe for valuables, no closet for clothes, no phone to contact reception, and not even a simple shower cap. A lot of rooms have broken AC and broken lights in the bathroom. Reception people are very slow and helpless. You need to walk from 4th floor to ground floor if any issues as no phone to call reception. They say call on mobile but as foreigner people we must pay for call which is ridiculous because they do not provide service that should be. Do not follow up on what promissed to guests. At checkout, they offered a 20% refund due to all the inconvenience, but we never received it, and no one responded to follow-up messages when we approached them about when we get refund back. Extremely unprofessional. We will never return and will strongly advise others to avoid this place.

The town has no tourist attractions, and its central part is...

The town has no tourist attractions, and its central part is nearly abandoned. Cheap goods from China and Turkey are sold on the main street like you're in Asia. Plenty of Middle East/Eastern non-expensive restaurants around, not many European restaurants though. The districts outside the center look partially unsafe.

Ratingen has nice historic center with few restaurants and...

Ratingen has nice historic center with few restaurants and church in the middle. Overall, it is calm, but this area is populated mostly by industrial companies, warehouses, etc. Getting there is pretty hard from Dusseldorf, since buses are not going that often and you usually travel for around 45 minutes to 1 hour there. Trams are available which are the best way of transport from Ratingen to Dusseldorf.

It hasn't happened to me often when I travel, but sometimes it happens that you find yourself in a place that leaves you with a particularly dear memory, one of those that warm your heart. Well, staying in the house of Thomas and his wife was one of those memories. They welcomed us as you would a distant friend who comes to visit you, and they made us find a very welcoming, clean house, full of comforts located in a particularly quiet and relaxing area. Every detail of the house was excellent, the rooms, the beds, the huge bathroom and the equipped kitchen and in the evening we always found parking very close to the house. On Thomas's advice, we were able to get to an incredibly large market. Where there were also several restaurants and pizzerias. Finally, in the area, there is a bakery where you can have very good breakfasts and where you can find exquisite typical German bread. We were in Essen for a trade fair and the thought of being able to return to that house in the evening comforted us for the whole week. Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurants and bars, well laid out in a modern and stylish design, easy to walk around in a friendly atmosphere, Would recommend a visit, there's plenty to do, everything from shopping to a bit of culture. Recommend the promenade and Westfield centro, the bar Alex , the don Carlos and the tijuana are just a few of the places to visit, for a coffee, meal or a few beers with friends

The Christmas market in Duisburg is excellent.

The Christmas market in Duisburg is excellent. The locals are friendly and helpful and the city centre has a wide variety of good shops, restaurants and pubs. We particularly liked Cafehaus Dobbelstein in Sonnenwall 8, the Hellas Greek Restaurant on Poststrasse and the Konig City pub in Dusseldorfer Strasse. The railway, Bus and tram stations are on the hotel’s doorstep and the staff in the nearby Tourist Information and travel ticket offices are extremely helpful.

We needed a place close to the airport to sleep over for an early flight. The room met our needs, was clean and comfortable and had lovely restaurants in the area where we could have dinner. Check in and out was effortless.

Great place for concerts at Turbinenhalle or the Rudolf Weber Arena. Good for German Christmas Market near the Netherlands. The biggest market is by the Centro mall. Don't forget to bring cash.
