Lalibela Hotel and Mr Getatchew are very welcoming. The place is well situated, 10mn walking from Saint-Georges church and Timkat procession is passing front of the hotel. This is a place for people looking to be with local Ethiopian people and who love to siscover their real way of life

The best thing about Hidmo Cozy Place is the vibe.
The best thing about Hidmo Cozy Place is the vibe. It felt like home as soon as I was welcomed and I saw the room. The place is just so peaceful, with great views . I was in another world. The bonus was getting fed everyday with beautiful plant based meals, lovely juices and coffee to die for.
I lived with the host Desta his wonderful family and staff for two weeks, just as I was getting used to them I had to leave.
Lalibela is a beautiful place in my opinion steeped in history very special and spiritual, that trip has changed my life.
I loved it so much I have booked again to return.
Great value for money, Hidmo Cozy Place will not disappoint, it’s all in the name!

Lalibela is famous for its churches.
Lalibela is famous for its churches. Theres nothing else of interest to see there, so one full day is enough. You can take the morning flight, see half the churches in the afternoon and the rest the following morning prior to take the flight back to Addis.

The churches of Lalibela are magnificent.
The churches of Lalibela are magnificent. The whole city seems very poor, but it's very clean and the people are extremely welcoming. We stayed only for 24h, but it was enough to see all 11 churches (part of them in the afternoon on the day of arrival, and the rest before departure in the morning of the secod day).

All has simply exceeded my expectations. The location, hotel rooms, service, food and New Year party! Prompt communication before the trip, organisation of the tour with attention to detail. The owner, Desta, was my guide during my stay and he was knowledgable, with good English and I had simply great time. Excellent price as well. I cannot recommend more this place for your stay and tour in Lalibella.

I highly recommand Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. Super friendly owner, who can give us many usuful information about Lalibella, and living in Ethiopia. Also he can arrange quite cheap transport to airport. Hotel serving delicious fresh breakfast made by wife of owner. Romms in hotel are large, clean, bed is very comfortable.
Dont think to much, just go to Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. You wont regeret it!

The locatiion is in the northern part of Lalibella, still close to the churches but in a quiet neighbourhood. A stunning view from the window! Rooms are very nice. Very tasty buffet-style breakfasts are served at sisterly hotel just around the corner. Airport transfer included.
Any tour you need is provided by a knowledgeable guide Girma. A lovely Habtam, working now hard on improving her English skills, is always willing to help.
