In good weather, like we had last week, it is a magical island. Kiloran beach is one of the finest in Europe. We always take a car, but it is cycle able for younger visitors. Colonsay House gardens are excellent and the trip to Orinsay Priory, tide permitting, is recommended

It's a small island but there's a reasonable amount to see and do there, including the some spectacular beaches. The downside is that the Calmac ferry service which is the only way on and off the island is not entirely reliable. We had planned to stay longer, but had to cut the trip short because of ferry cancellations.
