The location couldn't be better. The view over the city is superb. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is soo good too.

The room was very spacious. Dorvil, our waiter during breakfast, was extremely nice. He made my family to feel welcome. The location is great. We feel secured. The property was always clean. Thank you for a nice stay.

As a Haitian it was incredible to go back home after over 20 years of not stepping foot on my beautiful land! Ayiti se lakay mwen! Mwen te kontant pou retounen! Map retounen encore paske mwen renmen anpil! Ayiti cheri!
I also feel like any non-melanated people that go to Haiti should respect that the country is not yours. You need to respect the culture and stop promoting the negative images of our beautiful home. If you arent there to actually help (and not in some bs white savior complex way) then dont even go or just simply leave because the purpose of having the first black republic is to respect our culture and roots and if you arent black our country really isnt for you so you need to think long and hard on why you are even going and if its not to uplift the people and help, you dont belong!

Life was fairly normal - children going to school, brigades marching and drumming, stores open. I highly recommend Plaj Comier for a beautiful 1/2 mile-long beach with free WiFi and a good restaurant and bar - only a $5 US entrance fee per person! The trip to San Souci Palace and the Citadel is worth the $100 taxi ride (round trip) and the 50-minute drive - amazing vistas, great horseback riding, excellent tour guide full of historical facts. Stop at Restaurant Belle Maison in Milot on the way home - good food.

It's great to have an open mind when traveling.
It's great to have an open mind when traveling. There is no place like home. I mean why traveling if you are searching for the same thing in other places. There are a variety of hotels and lots of sightseeing in beautiful Cap Haitian. It's safe, the people are friendly. Some parts are truly amazing and others not so much, but that's just like everywhere. Enjoy the culture and the good food.
