This hotel is super convenient if you have an early flight out of Trieste or a very late arrival. The hotel staff was very kind, efficient and friendly. Parking is right next to the hotel and free! When we arrived exhausted from a busy sightseeing day in Trieste, we were able to have a delicious and reasonably priced dinner in the hotel dining room. Plus, football/soccer on the TV while we ate. :). We were very well cared for by the hotel team - as if we were guests in their own homes. The hotel room was very clean with the no frills, basics of what we needed for a good night's rest. We did not need an advanced degree to figure out the lights in the room or the air conditioning- which we appreciated. If we fly in or out of the Trieste airport again, we would definitely stay here.

The room was beautiful and modern and had a very comfy bed. It was also really conveniently located. The host was so friendly and offered to drive me to the airport in the morning! She also made me a to go bag of breakfast pastries since it was very early.

i liked the friendly helpful atmosphere. It was a little difficult to know where to arrive- into a busy cafe. Room and service was excellent. Unfortunately i was too late to enjoy the food but the morning coffee and croissant was great. . location close to airport was perfect.

I was researching somewhere quiet to stay for one night...
I was researching somewhere quiet to stay for one night before an early morning flight home from Trieste airport back to the uk and i found Statranzano -Donatella gave us directions to walk to the property and back to the airport - a code to get throught the gate also meant we were able to leave the property at 3.30am for our 20 minute walk to the airport. Likewise if we had chosen to arrive later for our stay we had the option to use the code. The property was perfect in a peaceful area and the room and facilities were excellent.

The house is easily accessible, parking in the yard. The rooms were clean, the breakfast is provided downstairs, it's a self-service, toast, biscuits, croissants, marmalade, butter, tea, different types of juice, water; coffee from a vending machine. You just leave the key in the basket provided at checkout.

Beds and mattress were uncomfortable, the property is ok for a few nights stay but not more than a weekend. Only one set of towels were provided for a 9 nights stay. The host did not offer cleaning nor fresh linen or fresh towels. The property is looking tired and dated and in need of a fresher decor. Bathroom facilities are good however the bathroom itself could do with a bit of TLC. The communication with the host was good.

A classic Italian 'old town' with lots of character.
A classic Italian 'old town' with lots of character. Local Italians were friendly and engaging but reported that they are already feeling like "strangers in their own town" because of a considerable influx of foreign migrant workers who do not seem at pains to integrate; giving the town a somewhat 'alien' feeling when walking around. Difficult to find a food outlet for example, that still served both typical Italian food and alcohol.

There is no basic store nearby to even buy a bottle of water, there is a lot of garbage, the seaweed is not removed after the tide, there is a stench, the municipality does not monitor this, the green area around the beach is covered in shit, although there is a toilet on the beach

We chose this hotel because we did not want to drive for...
We chose this hotel because we did not want to drive for more than five hours in one day. I thought that this may be a good stop for a one night stay. But we were WRONG - and if we had known it would have been so good we would have stayed for at least three.
The room was perfect as was the breakfast - especially the room.
We also had an evening meal in the bar which again was very good.
I do believe we will put this hotel on our 'to do again' list - But for longer.

The position of Monfalcone is just perfect - beaches, Miramare castle and Trieste and Udine are just a stone’s throw away. The city is nice, with a beautiful historical buildings and monuments, but the atmosphere there is just not so friendly.
