Motel-like hotel outside the centre of Loreto with very friendly staff and spaceous rooms. Very quiet, even during carnaval. You park your car inside so it is safe. They have 3 dogs and a (tailles) cat who are all very sweet. A petrol station is straight opposite. The walk to ancient Loreto is 10 minutes, to the harbour 15.

The staff here are so nice and welcoming. My room was really spacious and the bed was really comfy. The main gate is locked at night which helps you feel very safe and secure. The staff accommodated a later check out for me so that I could go for a run and shower after on my last day - so sound of them! The facilities are perfect if you wanted to cook some nights instead of going out to eat. The smart television in the room is a nice touch to be able to watch a show after a long day out and about doing activities. It is really good value for money also

Everything was perfect. Our original booking somewhere else fell through once we arrived, and we found Los Agaves very last-minute. They accommodated us right away and were super easy to communicate with. Easy on-site parking, modern room, well-equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. Perfect location within easy walking distance to everything without being loud or busy. 11/10, would definitely stay here again.

I lived in Loreto from 2007-2012.
I lived in Loreto from 2007-2012. We return fairly regularly and while much has changed the people remain the same, warm and friendly. The main issue with Loreto is noise and lack of medical care. The old hospital only has an x-ray machine and the drive to La Paz is 4 hours. As for the noise expect barking dogs, roosters crowing and loud music late into the night. Also, visitors mistake Loreto for a beach town but it's a place for sports fishing so the beaches are not white sand rather brown and rocky. With cruise ships coming in now I was shocked by how expensive everything from restaurants to shopping has gotten. Definitely not the Loreto that I new and loved.

Great food, restaurants & service.
Great food, restaurants & service. People were super friendly and helpful. Sufficient places to shop if you’re there for a day or two. Beach was not really populated . A great place to go but a good idea to plan adventures or you’l get bored. There are things like kayak adventures and trips (including multi day ones) that launch from here so check those out. Weather was wonderful

Just as long as you manage your expectations and know that Loretta is a fishing village that is slowly growing then you will be pleasantly surprised. There is no Uber. There is no Walmart which makes the place a bit interesting. We liked the environment and especially evenings when there were festivals or parties going on in the evening it was great. We had an evening where a cruise ship was docked and the whole town came to life and it was fun. It may not be for everyone, but it worked for us.
