Great, very clean hotel with a fantastic breakfasts with never ending choices. Children liked the games prepared for guests in the lobby. We were happy of the stay and recommend for both short and longer stays.

Friendly check in service, cabin clean and well keep. Bunk bed comfy. We bring our own beds sheets n blankets. Bathroom are not far from cabin less than 30 steps, clean and quiet camping.ground. Location is very easy to find and convenient with to pump gas n groceries stores near by. Security guard walks on foot patrol.... Price value per night is fairly for a night. Budget friendly.

I lived on Frösön for 11 years and worked in Östersund. Östersund town centre is vibrant with a lot of shops. So many towns in England have many empty shops, so it is so nice to see that Östersund is still alive.

Moose Garden is main attraction in Orrviken.
Moose Garden is main attraction in Orrviken. The oldest place for rescued moose is managed by family with passion to this animals. There are no safe sidewalks, so you have to be careful walking on the main road but still, people living there (drivers) are also careful. This is calm, small city for relax and reset our busy lifestyles.

Beautiful town and lovely people. Hotel Ostersund was a great place to stay to access the town and the many great restaurants that we found on our trip. Try the Basta Italian restaurant, great food and atmosphere.

It was in summertime. Very interesting region of Sweden.
It was in summertime. Very interesting region of Sweden. Clean air, clean water. Location in the woods and mountains. Nice city with wooden houses. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops. Hairdressers and spas are available.
Interesting boat tours (M/S Thomme) is a must.
Cool local museum Jamtli- recceomnded.
Good location for short walks or boat tours around.
