United StatesClean, excellent staff. The elevator was not working. At check-in the clerk asked me if, given that, I preferred the first floor rather than the third. I did.
They serve a hot breakfast and I noticed that the cleaning staff were eating. I mentioned to the clerk that I appreciated that they took care of their staff. She responded that with the elevator issue, their GM was trying to let staff know how much their hard work was appreciated. All in all, a Midwest nice experience.

Went there and stayed so that wouldn't have to drive back and forth over two day period, from my home. Choose where to stay by price and location of my needs. They met or exceeded my needs of the two day was in Scottsbluff. would stay again.

I only visit Gering to see my sister, who lives there, and...
I only visit Gering to see my sister, who lives there, and to go to the cemetery where my parents are buried. Gering and Scottsbluff have virtually nothing to see or do there, other than the Scottsbluff Monument and the hills.

Beds were very uncomfortable no ice bucket in room asked for disabled accessible room never got it elevator was locked up bathroom was very small only had two pillows for each bed was unhappy. Really want a refund for this.

Was a very nice town and definitely the perfect location if...
Was a very nice town and definitely the perfect location if you are going to Scotts Bluff National Monument. Only a couple of miles from the park. We went out several different times of the day and was there in just minutes. We ate at a restaurant called the Log Cabin and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Scotts Bluff National Monument is a stone throw away. Great location for that. Good restaurants / breakfast facilities nearby. If travelling further north like we were it is ideal as a stop over.

This area is great to learn about how our country expanded and the hard working and courageous people who helped settle it. The countryside is very different from the East and Midwest. Some of the views from bluffs and hillsides is expansive.
