The Argos Inn is a gem in Ithica. The building and property are so unique, and it's so thoughtfully decorated. The staff were all very kind, warm, and welcoming. Morning coffee in the sunlit breakfast room made for the perfect start to every morning. The beautiful bar and lounge made for the perfect night cap to end the evening. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and had everything we would need. The Inn is conveniently located, only short walk to downtown, to the Cascadilla Gorges, and to Cornell. On-site parking made making day trips to the surrounding area seamless. If back in Ithica, there is no doubt we could come back to the Argos.

The breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The area has plenty of places to eat, and there is a grocery store within walking distance (about 1/3 of a mile). Overall it was a very pleasant two weeks.

Ithaca is a beautiful, welcoming college town. Good places to eat, lots of outdoor activities, beautiful scenery. Visited the magical park that is Watkin's Glen, Highly recommend the Ithaca Farmer's Market, saw so many waterfalls and enjoyed some delicious wine at wineries and in restaurants carrying local wines.

We didn't do much in Groton.
We didn't do much in Groton. We went to surrounding towns like Ithaca and Cortland. There were many good places to eat within about 20 minutes of the Inn. Getting in and out of Groton was very easy.

Cute walkable town surrounded by beautiful scenery. Vibrant community. Many wonderful options for food and drink. I recommend Mix and Revelry Yards. There is a beautiful little waterfall hiking trail at the edge of town. The farmer's market was an impressive collection of produce, prepared foods, and artisanal goods. There is a huge park with paths, a playground, and kayak rentals. Ithica is a great starting point if you want to visit the many wineries on Cayuga Lake.

Groton is a quiet little village between Cortland and Ithaca. It has a restaurant offering pizza and Italian food. There are two dollar stores and two gas stations. We were able to walk to all for little necessities but if we stayed longer we would stock up in the villages/cities nearby.
