Location Close to Graceland, pool for a swim after a hot day. Access to bar for a beer and brekkie with cappuccino. Courtesy bus to and from the airport and bus driver took us to a restaurant and picked us up which was great.

The location was fairly convenient. Staff very good Issue with lock on one of the two rooms. Maintenance man fixed it straight away. Issue with charging point in one of the rooms but maintenance man fixed that straight away too. Problems can occur anywhere but it’s how they are addressed that counts and this was very good.

This place is 20 mins walk from Graceland so if you're on a budget it's ideal, a couple of bars within five minutes walk and a few places near to eat, don't expect luxury but it was okay for a short stay.

Me and my family was there for our family reunion and we had an amazing time When we ate dinner it was at cracker Barrel and we love it. we went and had a ball at the Main Event running around with the grand kids.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good, beds comfortable. Had a leaky facet which needed repair, and the toilet paper holder came off the wall. The hotel needs updating. The breakfast needed more variety.

Beale street was a slight disappointment.

Beale street was a slight disappointment. It was dirty and looked unsavory - lots of homeless persons sleeping and begging on the street Loved Graceland more than we expected. We had another tour planned but gave it up because there was so much to experience at Graceland, and we did not want to miss a thing. A costly thing to know - Graceland takes a lot longer than you think but it is worth it The Mexican restaurant we ate at the first night was awful - loud, dirty, no service, got our order wrong and neve replaced it. Would not recommend. Next night we ate at Marlow's - loved being picked up in the pink Cadillac. Atmosphere was good. Food was good. Singer was excellent! It was so close to the Tangier outlet Mall in Mississippi that we took a drive there before we went home. Loved it! the traffic and the exit closure made it a little difficult to get around.

The hotel lobby was clean, pleasant and inviting. My wife and I stayed in a King standard room. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all comfortable and fresh smelling. The hotel is a year and a half old and still looks and smells new. The diningroom was clean and breakfast was good. They served scrambled eggs , link sausage, cereals, bagels, muffins, yogurt, toast, waffles, fruit , coffee and juices.( They could add bacon, biscuits and gravy) for more of a variety, but overall a good breakfast. The staff were all helpful, kind and courteous. The only constructive criticism is apparently the roof has leaks as there were several tiles on the top floor in the hallway by the elevator that were stained, which is unsightly. Need to be replaced. We will stay there again without hesitation and I have already recommended to family and friends. Keep up the good work of keeping the hotel clean!! Thanks!!

This was an updated area.

This was an updated area. The rooms had been updated and so was the lobby and the breakfast area. The carpet in our room already has a stain on the floor by the sink. But the rest was great. My only real issue was the hot water was not hot, but warm only. After the long drive, a hot bath would have been useful.

I stayed in two hotels going to and coming from further west...

I stayed in two hotels going to and coming from further west cities. The first hotel was costlier but located near the tourist area and had free parking. It was well managed with lots of amenities, including breakfast. The second hotel, near Graceland and the airport, was cheaper and not as comfortable but fine for an overnight stay. The Memphis tourist area around Beale Street is great for folks who don't mind walking, with lots of history, especially music oriented. Also for sports fans and foodies. Every day the Peabody Hotel has two events with resident ducks parading to and later from the hotel lobby's fountain to the delight of onlookers. Be sure to visit the National Civil Rights Memorial (site of assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.)

I'm assuming there are parts of Olive Branch that are nicer than the specific area the Hotel Desoto is located in. We went to South Haven which was very nice - just were not good eating establishments directly around Hotel Desoto.

Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was nice and we had a quiet night stay. Breakfast options were good and tasteful. It was in a great area for shopping and dining. I would revisist this property if I was staying in the Memphis area.

We were given a handicapped accessible room even though we didn't request one and found it unusual that the bathroom had a seat for a handicapped person but it was in a tub - not a walk in type of shower.

1. Very comfortable room with 24-hour free shuttle that does not require reservation in advance 2. Clean and big fitness room. The swimming pool looks nice but I didn't use it because it was still cold. 3. Generally speaking, it is a pretty good hotel to stay for those who arrive at MEM Airport late or will catch an early flight at MEM Airport.
