It was a quiet area, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. In particular, dr. Ron at the reception not only welcomed us on our first visit to the States, but he was extremely kind, and meeting him was truly one of the highlights of our trip. He was very helpful, not only in making sure we were comfortable at the hotel, but all the recommendations and advice he gave us helped us have the best time possible in Memphis. I’d definitely recommend the hotel, even though it might not be at the heart of the city, it’s easy enough to navigate the area with a car.

1. Very comfortable room with 24-hour free shuttle that does not require reservation in advance 2. Clean and big fitness room. The swimming pool looks nice but I didn't use it because it was still cold. 3. Generally speaking, it is a pretty good hotel to stay for those who arrive at MEM Airport late or will catch an early flight at MEM Airport.

I have stayed in a variety of hotels durin this trip. This was the lowest price. So my expectations were low....but it was just as good as those 30 dollars more. It was probably recently renovated.

All good. Let down slightly by carpets that looked like they need a deep clean and a less than powerful shower. Huge bed. Airport a quick $50 Uber Ride away.

Me and my family was there for our family reunion and we had an amazing time When we ate dinner it was at cracker Barrel and we love it. we went and had a ball at the Main Event running around with the grand kids.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good, beds comfortable. Had a leaky facet which needed repair, and the toilet paper holder came off the wall. The hotel needs updating. The breakfast needed more variety.

My sister and I took my mother to Graceland.

My sister and I took my mother to Graceland. Graceland was very nice and worth the money. Also be sure to visit the largest bass pro in the world. Very cool. As far as Memphis Its dirty and the down town areas especially around Beale Street were very uneasy and we would not feel safe at all after dark. The restaurants were filthy! I would not go back to Memphis if not going to Graceland.

The hotel lobby was clean, pleasant and inviting. My wife and I stayed in a King standard room. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The bed, sheets, and pillows were all comfortable and fresh smelling. The hotel is a year and a half old and still looks and smells new. The diningroom was clean and breakfast was good. They served scrambled eggs , link sausage, cereals, bagels, muffins, yogurt, toast, waffles, fruit , coffee and juices.( They could add bacon, biscuits and gravy) for more of a variety, but overall a good breakfast. The staff were all helpful, kind and courteous. The only constructive criticism is apparently the roof has leaks as there were several tiles on the top floor in the hallway by the elevator that were stained, which is unsightly. Need to be replaced. We will stay there again without hesitation and I have already recommended to family and friends. Keep up the good work of keeping the hotel clean!! Thanks!!

This was an updated area.

This was an updated area. The rooms had been updated and so was the lobby and the breakfast area. The carpet in our room already has a stain on the floor by the sink. But the rest was great. My only real issue was the hot water was not hot, but warm only. After the long drive, a hot bath would have been useful.

I would recommend that everyone visit Memphis.

I would recommend that everyone visit Memphis. We visited Beale Street, the National Civil Rights Museum, and the Peabody Ducks. We took a City tour through Backbeat Tours, which was outstanding (really glad Booking.com recommended it)! We did not get to see Graceland or the Memphis Zoo, but that is just a good reason to visit again. The drinking water is outstanding. There are also plenty of good places to eat, including Rendezvous, Central Barbecue, Automatic Slim, Huey's, and the Bar Dog Tavern, just to name a few. If you stay downtown, be prepared for parking challenges. At the time of this review, parking cost around $30-$35 per day, not including valet tips (be sure to put it in your trip budget).

I'm assuming there are parts of Olive Branch that are nicer than the specific area the Hotel Desoto is located in. We went to South Haven which was very nice - just were not good eating establishments directly around Hotel Desoto.

Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was nice and we had a quiet night stay. Breakfast options were good and tasteful. It was in a great area for shopping and dining. I would revisist this property if I was staying in the Memphis area.

We were given a handicapped accessible room even though we didn't request one and found it unusual that the bathroom had a seat for a handicapped person but it was in a tub - not a walk in type of shower.
