Room and the hotel surroundings were good.
Room and the hotel surroundings were good. The breakfast was cold and on Monday barely edible. There was sausage and gravy available but no biscuits. No milk for cereal and a shared tub of margarine and no pats of butter.

Stay extra days to get ALL the things in you want to do, we had a short amount of time traveling D/T work restraints. We DIDN'T get to somethings that I REALLY wanted to do BUT this trip was more about my Grand-Loves than me and their expectations were more than MET!

Nice place for a night halt if you are just passing through...
Nice place for a night halt if you are just passing through on I-10. Great Mexican Eatery (Aztecas Cantina). Entering from or exiting to the highway is a breeze. Plus a nice Western Store ( Boot Barn) incase you want to pickup western clothes, boots and shoes.

Mobile is a fascinating city with its incredible port and Civil Rights history. The bronze sculptures of the one football player and five baseball players on their Hall of Fame walk is spectacular, inc Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron, etc. Hard to believe Mobile (200K pop.) had more Hall of Famers per capita than NY or Chicago! The city museum is fascinating, as is the civil rights history found at the Cultural Center. But topping them all is an unforgettable and sobering eye-opener that will inspire you with man's resilience and faith: do not miss the Africa Town museum. Words cannot do the experience justice.

It was terrible!! Smelled of mold and mildew!! The toilet handle was broken, tiles were broken, and the ceiling was falling apart. Non- smoking room with cigarette holes on the sheets. Water would barely come out of the shower head. Mold had grown on the bottom of the shower curtain. Disgusting!!

We went for Bellingrath Gardens and Home which were lovely.
We went for Bellingrath Gardens and Home which were lovely. Also went to the Carnival Museum which was kind of mind bending. We didn't realize that Carnival was (is?) such a pervasive and presence in the lives of so many. All the restaurants we ate at were wonderful. We loved the beautiful old architecture. If you are a fan of Savannah, New Orleans or Charleston, this is another city for you.
