AustraliaIt was beautifully decorated and superbly clean. The rooms were very spacious and I'd highly recommend this property to anyone. We had the best fun and felt right at home. The coffee was terrific and with a full size refrigerator and supermarket nearby it was perfect for weary travellers to cook their own food. A great benefit is it is walkable to the North Plank Road Tavern (the perfect place for amazing cocktails and brilliant food). I recommend that everyone that stays check out that amazing historic tavern and talk to the owner about it's history. Fascinating. https://www.northplankroadtavern.com/

I would recommend this hotel if pricing is what your looking for the price was good compared to other hotels but if your looking for appeal I would not the outside is not appealing or inviting its old looking and inside could be updated but the rooms are updated with a retro vibe

A beautifully remodeld historic home in a lovely small town in the Hudson Valley. Perfect for sightseeing and relaxing. We enjoyed the local restaurants and the easy access to Storm King Art Center, West Point, Hyde Park, Poughkeepsie and Bear Mountain.

The Dia Beacon contemporary art museum, Long Dock Park, and proximity to the Maggazino Italian Art Museum and the Manitoga Russel Wright house and studio make for a great weekend trip. Many of Beacon's restaurants are excellent.

Cold Spring, NY is easily accessible from NYC via the Metro North train. It's a nice, peaceful getaway, where you can go hiking; shopping in the cute shops; eating at one of the many restaurants; enjoying the beautiful view of the Palisades; or seeing the many beautiful gardens in town. I loved the view of the river at the end of Overlook Trail in Little Stony Point. Make sure to wear bug spray while hiking!

It was a convenient place to stop on our trip. The Danskammer Inn itself was great! The falls were quite impressive. There are vineyards nearby. Otherwise the town centre was a little dustier and more rundown than I would have liked.

I enjoyed my trip to Fishkill even though it was relatively short. I'm mostly ate at fast food establishments, but had the option to go to Walmart, which was great because I can get multiple options for a relatively cheap price getting to and from my event was fairly easy and not too expensive considering I had to take Ubers everywhere but if you have a car, this would be a great place to visit.

Great village with great people.
Great village with great people. Lots of history and natural beauty all around. This is West Point's Main Street, a civilian slice of life for the military and visitors. The West Point Museum and visitor's center are in town, before requiring a pass to get into the USMA post.

There are not many tourist attractions near the hotel.
There are not many tourist attractions near the hotel. However restaurants are close by with a good selection of food. Hotel isn't near any big cities. Not sure if they will ever rent all the rooms.The hotel is brand new and sparkling clean. Features convenient free parking.

Beacon was an incredible weekend getaway!
Beacon was an incredible weekend getaway! We spent much of our time hiking around the charming bed and breakfast, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Our hosts, Jim and Joe, recommended some truly unforgettable spots—a cliff with breathtaking views of the sunset over the mountains and Hudson River, a swimming hole reaching depths of 10 feet just behind the house, and delightful restaurants in town. They welcomed us with wine upon arrival and went out of their way to make us feel right at home. Staying at this bed and breakfast left me wanting to move to Beacon for good. Getting to know the hosts and hearing their life stories was a true highlight—I just wish we could have stayed longer!
