We stayed in the Three-Bedroom Villa, and it was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever seen. There are plenty of things to do around the property, and the swimming pool area is great too :). I’d definitely stay again 100%!

Didnt try breakfast but location in the summer is a bit too remote and lacks atmosphere. It was inappropriate to do works at the pool while you have giests staying. The small pool was too full.

The staff at truckee Donner hotel are excellent they are friendly knowledgeable and they try to make your stay to feel like a home away from home they have a pool unfortunately closed for the winter no hot tub but don't fret come.summer the pool will reopen if you like to read they have a small library with a desk area to sit down and read they also have chairs in a sitting area near a fireplace if you choose to sit there they also have a coffee machine with a few selections if you wish to sit down read a book and sip coffee or if you wish to just sit down sip coffee and enjoy the silence you can do that also in the morning time they have a continental breakfast that includes eggs either sausage or bacon muffins bagles and a few other selections of bread, cereal they also have yogurt a pancake maker a selection of 2 different types of juice milk the area has a gas station across the street and tacobell next door to the hotel is a coffee bar I highly recommend this gem of a hotel with the staff who is always ready to answer questions about the area they will never steer you wrong

The location was perfect for our needs.

The location was perfect for our needs. We went there to hike and enjoy the lake. Entrance to the Tahoe Rim trail is a short car ride away. The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay and access to the recreation center was an added bonus. We used the pool and Pickle ball courts. The Village is in walking distance and we ate at the pizza place and the Mexican place for dinners and both were great. We enjoyed watching the bike riders while listening to live music in the village. As usual Lake Tahoe was too crowded.

Very scenic area with lots of water based and hiking activities. Lots of great places to eat with friendly staff. Guests visiting in the summer months should be aware of a daily resort tax which is not reflected in the booking.com price. We incurred $50 extra per night which we were not aware of at the time of booking.

We were attending a wedding at the North Tahoe Event Center, it's a beautiful facility, great location, supper attentive staff, parking fee $10.00. The beaches were crowded, after 5 it started to clear out. We enjoyed shopping in the area; a thrift shop, 2 antique stores and various other gift shops. In the middle of it all was Taco Bell and a 7-11.

Lots of shopping and eating establishments.

Lots of shopping and eating establishments. Great burgers at Burger Me! Enjoyed visit to Donner Lake Memorial State Park. Merchants selling winter wear in late April charging crazy amount of $ for snow gloves & boots so come prepared.

Tahoe Vista has been discovered. Traffic is challenging.

Tahoe Vista has been discovered. Traffic is challenging. Crowded. Come with plenty of patience. It's a tourist destination on beautiful Leke Tahoe. Not a relaxing place. But great if you like to hike and get away from the over crowded lakeside.

We loved being near the lake and having a Lake Tahoe view from our room was wonderful. We enjoyed dinner at a local Italian restaurant, which was excellent. Lanza's Restaurant has been there for years and is still excellent.

Nice little town in North Lake Tahoe.

Nice little town in North Lake Tahoe. Not as populated and not too many hotel casinos as South Lake Tahoe. I've been in South Lake Tahoe many times but if you're looking for a small town atmosphere, consider visiting the north side.

Very different vibe than South Lake Tahoe...more "beach town" than mountain resort. We enjoyed the burgers at Char Pit and ice cream at nearby Log Cabin Ice Cream & Coffee. N Lake Blvd has a lot of fun shops & eateries, but we ended up going into Incline Village for most of our shopping & dining.
