On this road trip, you’ll visit six towns in the Martha’s Vineyard region, taking in the innate charm of the coast. You'll set out from Oak Bluffs, a Victorian resort town famous for its colourful gingerbread-like townhouses and the Flying Horse, America’s oldest carousel. In Edgartown, you’ll see Greek Revival houses, a lighthouse and the Old Whaling Church.
You’ll also visit the harbour town of Vineyard Haven along with West Tisbury and Chilmark. In Menemsha, a charming fishing village, you’ll make a short stop so you can try the local clam chowder or lobster bisque. On your return trip, you’ll pass the clay cliffs of Aquinnah, Gay Head Lighthouse and a bridge featured in the film Jaws.

What better way to experience Martha’s Vineyard – take a Jaws tour with us and you will have access to many of the films’ locations. You will hear many non-published stories about the filming, the actors, as well as being able to stop to take photos. The Jaws bridge is one of the top 5 attractions on the island.
Jaws Factoids:
- Although the movie is set in midsummer, producers began filming in early May 1974 to avoid an actors’ strike that was scheduled to begin July 1.
- Jaws was marred with so many technical problems that the originally scheduled 55-65 day shoot ballooned into 159 days, not counting post-production.
- Most highly anticipated movies were released around Christmastime, back then, but Spielberg took so long filming that the movie had a summer release date, which was traditionally reserved for low-end movies.
- Townspeople of Martha’s Vineyard were paid $64 each for playing extras who ran across the beach and screamed during the shark attack scene.

Perfect for events, oyster aficionados and those seeking an understanding of where their food comes from.
Join us for a 1 hr floating raw bar experience right from the source.
Up to 20 guests board ‘LEEWARD’ our 31’ custom, open deck oyster farm tour boat. The tour is educational and lasts about an hour.
Once underway, we will journey out to the Cottage City Oyster Farm, where we will discuss the history of the business and the process of growing oysters from seed to market. Once on the farm, the shuckin' begins. Sit back and enjoy as our shuckers load the raw bar with as-fresh-as-it-gets oysters while you sip your favorite beverage. Lemons, cocktail and hot sauces will be available. We will have a cooler full of ice for storage and complimentary bottles of water. For those of you who want something stiffer than water, the tour is BYOB so bring your favorite pairing wine or beverage (Paired best with Prosecco, Champagne or other bright, bubbly). The boat does not provide much shade, so the appropriate attire can best be described as beach wear due to sun and wind exposure.
The vessel has a valid United States Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection, and both tour guides are USCG licensed captains and certified first-responders. It's an experience like no other.
