Situated next to Olympia-Einkaufszentrum, Magic Bavaria is an indoor, fully air-conditioned attraction that offers 30 interactive photo spots, optical illusions and creative experience rooms. Information is available in English, so you can move through at your own pace and enjoy hands-on setups designed for striking, perspective-play photos. It’s a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award 2025 winner.
As you move through the exhibition, you’ll step into an upside-down royal hall, try a slackline positioned above a reproduction of Munich’s Marienplatz, and jump into one of Munich’s largest ball pits. Themed settings recreate Oktoberfest, Alpine scenes and other Munich-inspired backdrops for memorable holiday photos. Along the way you’ll also find regional Bavarian art, bite-sized fun facts and a free family quiz to explore together.
The experience is presented as a series of playful, photo-friendly rooms and optical displays. It’s suitable for mixed weather days since it’s indoors and air-conditioned, and the layout encourages relaxed exploration, group photos and shared moments.
