During this day tour, you’ll get the opportunity to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Lower Silesia region. You’ll stop at Wałbrzych to visit a castle before heading to Świdnica and Jawor to view their wooden churches.
First, you’ll explore Książ Castle in Wałbrzych that the Nazi regime used for Project Riese. Also known as the ‘Pearl of Lower Silesia,’ this 13th-century castle is the third-largest in Poland and overlooks the Pełcznica River.
After Wałbrzych, you’ll move on to the Churches of Peace in Świdnica and Jawor – the world’s largest wooden baroque churches. These ecclesiastical buildings were built during the Old Silesia regime in the 17th century as symbols of religious freedom.
