Beach Hotels in Oshima

I thought Book Tea Bed was great - I was a little bit worried because I don’t have a ton of experience staying in hostels but you get your own little cubby with a curtain so it feels very private. The location was excellent, everything was clean, the staff was friendly & helpful. I definitely recommend visiting Izu Oshima as well as the island is beautiful.

Staff were super kind and breakfast was delicious. Location walking distance to port and luggage storage was very helpful. Having a bar and a playroom and amenities for my children who forgot their toothbrushes exceeded expectations. Bunk bed was unique and adorable. My kids loved it and it was super cozy.

It was walkable from Motomachi Port. I stayed at the dorm style room, so I had to share with other people, but they all were respectful ladies, and I had no problem. The room was new and sparking clean. The fridge, kitchen, and coffee marker were in the common room, and we could store our luggage after the check-out time. I stayed for a specific even on the island, so I didn't have much time to spend for other activities, but when I go back next time, I would definitely want to try the sand spa!

The building is right in front of the ferry dock. Futon mattresses were extremely clean. There is a fancy sushi bar on the backside.

The owner is very friendly and they invited me for dinner at the guesthouse with other travellers. It was a very good experience for me while staying in the island.

We enjoyed a lot staying at your place. We found it beautiful and authentic and spent a very happy stay with our granddaughter. For our French Japanese family it was quite an experience. A very cosy, traditional Japanese-style house, a stone's throw from both the beach and the centre of Oshima. Wonderfully kind and understanding hosts, who accommodated a last-minute change in travel plans - our ferry couldn't make it over from Tokyo initially due to weather conditions. Next time we are in Oshima, we will be sure to stay here again!

Ideal place to get your own impression what a Japanese house may look like. Of course it is not 100% the way how it was in previous century and a warm toilet seat adds positive impression anyway, but we are awfully happy that were able to live here! We had comfortable sleeping places, pillows around table and enjoyed a possibility to cook food using a gas stove. The water was very hot and the water pressure was good which is better than we expected.
