We spent a wonderful week at the end of September / beginning of October in this beautiful, peaceful place. The location is simply magical—private, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. The accommodation is basic, but it has everything you need. The bed was comfortable, the shower had warm water, and we enjoyed making breakfast on the balcony every morning. We also cooked dinner there twice. There’s no TV, but honestly, we didn’t miss it at all. On the last day, it got a bit colder, but the electric heater provided made it easy to stay warm. There’s a small shop on the main road with a limited selection of products, and a few good restaurants in Trepejca village, though you’ll need to go up the hill and back down to reach them. If you want to explore further, there’s a bus to Ohrid that stops right next to the shop. The weather was around 20°C during our stay, and we swam in the crystal-clear lake every day. The water was surprisingly warm—just 30 seconds to adjust, and you’re fine! Hiking opportunities are just steps away from your little house, with beautiful mountains to explore. We even had some fun encounters with local wildlife: cows coming to the lake to drink, kittens and dogs visiting our stone beach, and we rescued a little crab that had gotten lost in the garden. We had excellent contact with Misho on WhatsApp. On the day of our arrival, he welcomed us with a bottle of homemade rose wine. We also met his parents, who live in Trepejca—they invited us for a glass of their homemade red wine. They are genuinely warm and friendly people. We felt like visiting old friends, and they even gave us fresh eggs from their own chickens for breakfast on the balcony the next morning. This place truly feels like a hidden gem, perfect for those who want to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience genuine hospitality.

The owners were super kind. They were all the time trying to make us confortable: they did the loundry for us when we asked for that. The breakfast was just amazing! We really enjoy it, and it was different each day with many homemade dishes. The views from the room were great!!! The location was perfect, it was a quiet place about 5 minutes from a perfect spot in the lake with many shadows and not crowded at all. We really recommend this place!

This wonderful little guest house is a gem . It is located in the lovely hill village of Elshani , a 5 minute drive up from the coast of Lake Ohrid . You are in the centre of the village , with a little village shop a few yards away, and with hiking trails from the front door up into the mountains , and you wake to the sound of the nearby stream and many birds . The hosts are lovely , and the homemade breakfasts are very nice , as is the homemade jam which we took away . The rooms are very comfortable and the terrace onto which they open has lovely views and becomes an extra living space . You need a car , realistically , to base yourself here as it would be too far to walk to the lake , and you need to either visit restaurants at the lake or self cater on the terrace - neither of these are downsides - just points of information .

The hotel is situated at the end of the authenthic village of Trpejca. If you are into undisturbed views, calmness, falling asleep to the sound of waves, and waking up to bird's singing, this is the place for you. The employees that run the small hotel are very hospitable. The food they serve for breakfast is tasty and personalized to each guest. We worked remotely here for a week with an 8 year old girl and would repeat without thinking.

We had a wonderful stay at Shoposki near Ohrid! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. We slept incredibly well — the place is quiet, comfortable, and perfect to recharge. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. A great way to start the day! The hosts were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without being intrusive. You can really feel the care and pride they put into this place. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Ohrid area. We would definitely come back!
