A quiet, cosy temporary home near the sea.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Captains Cabin! The chalet was not only beautiful but also spotless and fully equipped, everything we needed was there. The veranda had such a cozy and romantic vibe; we spent the evening sitting there. And the picnic table was perfect for a sunny breakfast. The camping site is lush and peacefull. The owner was very kind and responded guickly to any questions. All the provided information was clear, and check-in went smoothly. As for the area/surroundings: Petten really surprised us in a good way. The beach is within walking distance- wide and quiet. We also enjoyed cycling through the dunes and hiking in the nearby Zwanenwater Nature Reserve. In short: a lovely place, a cozy and comfortable chalet and beautiful surroundings. We'd love to come back.

It was very comfortable and very nice being able to Cook and prepare meals. The bed was also very comfortable. The location is great with only a short walk to the beach Kiki was friendly and very helpful.

All the facilities of the chalet were considered with great details, which made us feel very comfortable. At the same time, you were also very easy to contact and provided us with great support.

We have never had such wonderful and friendly hosts - it felt from the beginning on, as if we were visiting good friends! We also booked a horseback-riding-tour with Roos and Mike and were led for 2 1/2 hours through the area, saw the bunkers, went along the seaside, through the village - just gorgous, really nice and well-behaving horses, along with wonderful chats! The day felt like a very special holiday to us! We will definitely come back again! The beach really is only 5 - 10 minutes walking distance from the accomodation! The room faces backwards to a beautiful terrasse right on a canal with seating and a private little area for us. Extra nice: There were eggs, milk, coffee, tea, musli etc for us in the kitchen and we were allowed to use as much as we wanted for free! -beyond clean! impeccable...every single corner -all kitchen appliances in perfect condition -2 sitting/eating areas outside, one at the front and one behind -easy access from the main road and plenty of parking space -beach easily accessible , 10-15min walk -chalet located in a calm area of the camping (no pool, playground or traffic nuissance) -very good communication from the owner

To be welcomed by Nicole en Bram is very nice and making you as comfortable as coming home. The Chalet is above expectation, clean, fully equipped and the interior is chosen with spirit for a cosy time. The beds are clean (!) and comfortable, the nice garden with 3 different lounges / benches always allow you to catch the often present sun. The beach in walking distance is one of the most beautiful in NL. Relaxation at it's best - Thank you so much!
