Amazing place, I wish I'd stay longer.

We stayed in Hekaya for 5 nights and could not have enjoyed it more, it was honestly one of the nicest places we have stayed. The staff were so friendly, attentive and good fun. Activities were arranged for us on request with a driver we really liked. The food was delicious with very generous portions. Our room looked out on the beach and could hear the tides coming in and out from our bed. We were a stone's throw away from the rock restaurant. We are already planning a return visit, it's the most perfect place to unwind.

Great accommodation in a fantastic location near the beach, with a very friendly, courteous and helpful owner. A big thank you again for your wonderful support when my suitcase didn't arrive. The accommodation is a great starting point for activities. Pingwe has a fantastic beach, and even at low tide, you can take a short walk to the sandbank and enjoy a wonderful swim.

Hotel Club Dongwe has an excellent location. We enjoyed snorkelling there. The staff are very friendly. We had a wonderful time!

This was the most special and beautiful place I stayed in Zanzibar. This is not a standard Hotel or even backpackers usual place. Carol or Bibi Mrembo as the locals call her opens the doors of her house for you and with her kindness and welcoming vibe makes the stay and moments with her to be so special. Loved my time here and the time I spent with her discovering the surroundings, snorkeling and having lunch together. Definitely, my place in Zanzibar. Long life Carol and keep vibing as you do. Big kiss!

It is a beautiful place with enough privacy and some charming details. The pools were great. The breakfast at the neighbouring restaurant was very nice with a good variety.

Amazing views, amazing place to stay. Very clean

I loved everything but to name a few: the stunning beach that even has a walkway into the ocean, the hotel staff’s attention to guest, the gym, the location, the spa and overall the smell of flowers/plants all over the resort. The resort has a charm that all those large hotels (that are so impersonal) miss out on. There was always plenty of food so even the pickiest eater can find something. There is entertainment most of the night and twice a week there is massai dinner/entertainment.

This holiday home is an absolut recommendation for visitors to Zanzibar, whether looking for peace or as a starting point for active exploration of the island. The house is located directly on the wonderful Michamvi beach within sight of the Rock Restaurant and just a few kilometers from Jozani National Park. It offers several bedrooms and wonderfully designed lounges with all the necessary equipment. The garden with the pool belonging to the house is beautifully landscaped and also offers numerous opportunities for relaxation - always with an overwhelming sea view. But the best thing was the friendly staff, who gave us a warm welcome and were always there to help and advise us. The included breakfast was rich and tasty and the additional dinner was also great. We would like to thank our friendly hosts for the excellent care.

(1) It’s a wonderful boutique hotel. It’s idyllically located on the paradisiacal beach of Michamvi, right in front of the waterfront, and only at a five minutes’ walk distance of The Rock restaurant and the gorgeous white sandbar for photos. (2) Its owners and staff are superb. They make everything easy for their guests to feel comfortable and safe. (3) Breakfast is super abundant and made up of a vast array of choices (fruit, mango juice, eggs, coffee or tea or chocolate milk, sausages, bread, banana bread or pancakes, etc.). 4) Rooms are spotlessly clean and very spacious (especially, the huge shower!). 5) The salty-water swimming pool is amazing.

Perfect location, Pingwe is the place you want to be, local community on the beach, sandbank right next to the facility, boats that take you to the starfish in 5 minutes, great bathroom with a pleasant breeze, very good restaurant (I recommend beef, we had no luck with pasta), well managed by the owner

We really felt at home at the Hotel Mia Boutique. From the warm welcome when we arrived late at night to the emotional farewell on our day of departure. The entire staff was extremely friendly throughout the days and always ready to help with anything. Whether breakfast or dinner, everything was excellent. The rooms are as in the pictures, the bathroom is kept simple as a large wet room. The Airconditioning worked perfectly, rooms were cleaned every day and also sprayed with mosquito repellent. The transportation service from the airport also worked perfectly. There was nothing that bothered us. A big thank you to all the staff for a great time. We hope to visit you again soon.

Everything was excellent, from being greeted as we arrived to check in by Lilian, taken to a truly amazing room (one of the best rooms we have stayed in anywhere in the world), and then the food prepared by a great team led by Chef Suneel, who catered to my special food requirement superbly every day. All the staff were fantastic and made us feel like honored guests - special mention to Stephen, Benson, James and Samba a in the bars and Ezekiel and Neema for meals service as well as Lilian and Chef Suneel. Very professional team, very nice to see in a new hotel. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, and constantly maintained. Pools and beach fantastic!

The location is a little far, however my entire stay was amazing. All the staff were amazing. The most welcoming and kind people I have ever met. The food was amazing, my room was amazing the hotel was well kept and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you to all the staff at Le Mersenne Zanzibar.

After the safari adventure, we spent four unforgettable days at Zawadi Hotel in Zanzibar this September. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the property. The entire area feels like a slice of paradise, with lush, manicured gardens and vibrant flowers creating a tranquil oasis. Every detail is carefully attended to, making the surroundings feel magical. The villas were absolutely spotless and beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The highlight of our stay, however, was the food. Every meal was served à la carte, and each dish was excellent—imaginative, delicious, and prepared with great care. Dining at Zawadi was a true culinary delight. The staff at Zawadi set a new standard for hospitality. From the warm and welcoming reception team, especially the lovely Noura, to the attentive F&B staff and even the gardeners, everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. One of the most memorable experiences was the guided tour through the gardens, which was both informative and enjoyable (feeding the donkey was almosts as exciting as safari!). We also loved the little touches, like sundowners served in our villa and the creative gin and tonic menu. Zawadi Hotel is a place we will never forget. It’s more than a hotel—it’s an experience. We’re already dreaming of returning and cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, Zawadi is the place to be.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. The owner and whole staff made my stay extremely enjoyable, making sure Im well taken care of. I had lovely food, one of the best I've eaten in Zanzibar, tasty mocktails and a relaxing time by the pool. In the evening, i enjoyed horse riding by the sunset. I recommend visiting Michamvi. The beach is beautiful, with a lovely sunset, music, and small shows in the evening. It is one of my favourite places in Zanzibar if you are looking for a good atmosphere and relaxation!
