This is the most amazing place to stay. I've been to the jungle in India, Borneo and the Phillipines but Rambai Tree Eco Jungle Huts not only provided the most comfortable accommodation but they made us feel like family ❤️🙏. Romi and Tia communicated efficiently and clearly from the moment I booked, several months ago. They provided a very reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable return airport shuttle - Wayhu, and the best guides - Ronie and Nanda. We saw Orangutans, Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and a monitor lizard in just a half day trek! As well as being visited daily by the local Macaque troop and several large bats. Tia cooked us the most fantastic farewell dinner and we were genuinely sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for them ❤️

Best place to stay in Bukit Lawang!! Beautiful location right on the river, surrounded by nature and beautiful views, a retreat from the busy-ness of town. It is only a short motorbike ride into town, and you can walk ~10 mins to get to an alfamart/indomaret. I did 2 days jungle trekking with Andi who was a great guide. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife, and he shared a lot of great information about the jungle. I went with a group and he was very attentive with the guests and everyone's different needs and comfort levels with the hiking. Dika, Dedek, and the rest of the family were so friendly and happy to answer any questions or help with anything, and make an amazing breakfast which is included. Andi arranged a car to and from the airport. Wifi was functional most of the time, which was helpful because I spent a lot of time working remotely in the restaurant. Bed in my room was very firm and comfortable, which is important to note because some different guesthouses where I've stayed have had very squishy, sinking beds. Bathroom has good showerhead water pressure, a western style toilet, and bidet. They provide toilet paper if needed. Towels also provided. Screens on windows prevent mosquitos from getting inside, and there is a fan inside the room for when it gets hot. Overall, a beautiful place to stay and a family business that makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

The location is absolutely amazing, right next to the amazing sea but also in the jungle. We managed to see lots of amazing animals right from the bungalow terrace. Monkey, monitor lizards, birds, butterflies. Our bungalow was sea front, thanks to Robi who moved us after the first night. Very close to the bungalows is Olala restaurant, an amazing one, with a great terrace and view. It s like 50m away. We had hot water as well which I honestly didn't expect. Robi will help you with anything, motorbike rental at great prices, snorkeling equipment, snorkeling trips etc. I strongly recommend this place!

The cottages are decent and have a lovely view. Here I ate one of the best banana pancakes out of 6 weeks in Indonesia. The jungle trek they organise is very good, and Ronny and Anto are an amazing guide and cook. We would very strongly recommend them! We did the three day trek and saw loads of orang-oetangs the first day and together with Ronny we decided to go more into the jungle the second day, to see more of nature and other wildlife. Ronny listened to what we wanted to get out of our time in the jungle, adapted his program throughout the day depending on this and was very knowledgeable and open to exchange thoughts and views beyond the jungle alone. The food Anto cooked was delicious! Overall the jungle trek with Ronny and Anto has been one of the best experiences in all of Indonesia and I would recommend everyone to book it with them!

It's location is great as it's on the side of the river where motorbikes don't usually go so it tends to be quiet (expect for saturdays when there's a party at the guesthouse next door). Great value and very comfortable and the staff have been super nice to me and always happy to help.
