Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

The family room was spacious and aircon runs cold. Although there isn't hot water for shower, the staff brought us buckets of hot water each day, and that was adequate to bathe my child. They also arranged the jungle trek for us, we were able to trek directly from the guest house. It's also located very close to the bat cave, 10-mins walk and we highly recommend visiting these caves, and with a local guide hired at the entrance. Without the guide we wouldn't have known where to go.

The hospitality is great! Easy communication with the host. Robert was great at getting back to me with questions I had. The place is very clean, comfortable bed. I had an excellent meal there. Hot shower. The view is beautiful. The place is located in a more secluded area, not near the city but very close to the ferry.

The owner was super helpful and was eager to answer any questions through WhatsApp from the moment we booked. Getting a trek was super easy through him once we arrived and the trek was amazing. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to always be the first to spot an orangutan out of nowhere. Example: "I smell orangutan poo. Give me one second." Then runs off for two minutes and beckons us over pointing up at the tree to a mama and baby very early on. The bed in our room was amazing. Like a firm memory foam. Same for the pillow. For me, that is an ideal sleep. And the location was great. It was right in the middle of the village, so it was about the same distance left or right to the end of the strip. Can't beat the price.

Santi, Martin and Robi made me feel welcome from the beginning. The Bungalow was surrounded with beautiful trees and very close to the pier where I enjoyed my morning swim. The Bungalow has everything you need: hammock, sitting area, moskito-net, even a kettle and plenty of water. It's clean, comfy and you can listen to the sounds of nature. Santi, Martin and Robi had a lot of knowledge and they are happy to help you to make you stay as enjoyable as possible. I will come back for sure - it was such a Paradise 10/10. Terima kasih banyak!

Its location it’s perfect, really close to Gunung Leusere National Park entrance. Staff received us with a warm welcome and helped us to carry our bags to the bungalow. They all are helpful and looking after their guests. As soon as we arrived, staff informed us about trekking options, we decided to opt for 2 days trekking with a night in the jungle and rafting (note that rafting is optional but I would recommend you not to hesitate in hiring the activity, really funny). We started the trekking day after of our arrival with Rony and Klin, it couldn’t be better. Honestly, it exceeded our expectations! We saw plenty of different type of animals (and monkeys) orangutans of course! We enjoyed nature, met incredible people and we had lot of fun. Night in the jungle is an absolutely experience. Also mention to our chef, Huan who cooked us our lunch and dinner in the camp. We felt safe all the time with mentioned guides. Amazing experience
