This hotel really surprised us and it would have to be one of my top 5 hotels that I have ever stayed at. The size of the room was just HUGE with a large balcony and an amazing bathroom. The sparkling water/sea views from both the bathtub/bathroom and the main living area were just amazing. There was a lounge suite in the spacious room and 2 King size beds (with trundle beds underneath). The fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks replaced daily and the dinner buffet is one of the best I've had. Unfortunately as our stay was so short we didn't get to use many of the facilities :(

We liked everything! The house is very spacious, comfortable, and well decorated and maintained. We also liked Karatsu, not a touristic place, hence very authentic. We extended our stay one more night as we felt like at home and enjoyed our stay very much. The check-in and extension worked also super smooth. In addition, the house was super clean. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a beachfront room - such a beautiful outlook that we didn't expect at all. Our host was lovely and helpful, and had halloween treats to give out - so sweet! We always enjoy accommodation with shared spaces - the Community Room is exactly this - full kitchen with all the amenities and a chance to have random chats with a fellow visitors - language barriers set aside. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day.

The room was big and we probably got one of the best view with both the beach and the karatsu castle, what an enchanting view at night! The location is close to the karatsu castle and the former takatori residence (photo are forbidden there, but trust me, you HAVE to see it) and just in front of the beach. It's about 1.5km from the station, or 1000 yen using a taxi. Next the best part: the service. We understood we were the first western customer and the host tried their best to make our stay perfect! From helping out calling a taxi, to taking the time explaining what to visit in town or adapting the menu to fit our taste, we appreciated all those gestures greatly! For dinner we got to try the local squid sashimi and their dorade cooked using "croute au sel" technique. For the second day we were asked if we wanted to change for a sukiyaki which we accepted and greatly enjoyed!
