Everything is brand new at Casa Moon, and the room is very clean, modern, and cozy. The beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, and the property is located on a street with everything nearby, yet it remains calm and quiet, allowing you to get a good night’s rest. Stefan and his team took great care of us, making us feel just like home! Also, the food at their restaurant is excellent :)

We received a very warm welcome from the owner and his staff when we arrived. The rooms were very spacious, clean and the showers were warm. The breakfast was excellent-there was always the option to chose between a traditional Sri Lankan and a more western breakfast. Both were great! The rooms look out on to a garden area and you can sit outside if you wish. The beach is only a short walk a way and the owner has a lot of helpful tips about where to go or even howvto get your laundry done. As a family we had a really relaxing and enjoyable time here. Highly recommendable!

The guest house is located in a calm area slightly sideways from the beach. It is extremely clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Mosquito net was sufficient. The hosts are extremely helpful and sincere. We arrived late as we had a small car accident. Late check-in was not a problem and the hosts helped us to arrange a mechanic (even though it was a national holiday). In the morning, I asked for an iron and the host ironed my clothes free of any change, just of genuine kindness. We will not search for other places if we ever come back!

Jey's Place is fantastic. The owner Jey, chef Justin and Prasanth make sure you have a great stay. The apartments are clean and calm and the garden area really stands out in the street, it's really pretty. We stayed for 2 nights, but we would have loved to stay more. It's always fully booked, and rightfully so. If you are going to Nilaveli, this is the place to stay!

An exceptional lovely and sweet home stay close to Nilaveli beach (3 minutes walk). The family is so attentive and helpful, especially the mother Malika (hope I spelled it right). Very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast served when it suits you, and she offers you coffee/tea in the evenings. Anything you need, the family will help you (tuk tuk, boat trips, tips on how much to pay etc). I loved spending three nights here, relaxing on the porch in the evening, chatting with the family and their two cats (and kittens!). If I come back to Nilaveli I will definitely stay here again. If you want an authentic stay and want to feel at home, I can recommend staying here.

Everything was great. The breakfast was really yummy, we looked forward to it every day, and Theepan was super responsive to WhatsApp messages for anything we needed. It was a short walk to the beach, and we swam every morning with no one else around. Very quiet and peaceful, good size room, internet was pretty good and reliable. A really lovely family.
