I stayed at Finca La Maria for three days all by myself and enjoyed every single minute. The finca is very remote and peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. Hearing the howler monkeys at night was a fascinating experience. The couple who run the finca are absolutely charming. A truly special place.

If you are looking for quiet place where you can just relax in a hammock on the terrace and jump to the water after all day trip around island this is the right place for you :) the owner is so kind, helpful and knowledgeable about island… shop and restaurants nearby… bus station on the main street- means 3minutes walk… I can just recommend it!

Accommodating and kind staff, the food was really good. Best to have transportation - taxi is about $25 to get there and from Moyogalpa the bus takes about 2 hours

We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Everything was awesome, they contacted early in the morning and provided important information about the place, when we arrived they called me by name, he was very kind.

Помешкання Hotel Restaurante Los Cocos розміщено у місті Santa Cruz, за менше ніж 1 км від пам'ятки "Пляж Санто-Домінго". Clean and spacious room with air con and mozzie screens. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was delicious and we had a good dinner one evening. The restaurant closes 8:30/9pm - it’s fairly quiet in the evenings (also closed Monday eve) - but we were able to play games and bring drinks in to sit at a table until late. Great location across the road from the lake for a dip and a local market on Saturday. And a little roof terrace with view of the volcanos. Decent supermarket (with ATM) 2 minutes walk and a few other restaurants within walking distance but take cash only.
