Located on the beachfront in Umm Lajj and featuring a terrace, Waves Hotel has free WiFi throughout the property. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a hot tub and a hammam. The property features a year-round outdoor pool, fitness centre, sauna and private beach area. The hotel itself is very nice — the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-appointed — but what truly made my stay exceptional was the service. The staff consistently went above and beyond to help me. They did their best to accommodate my request for an early check-in, and later in the afternoon, when I unexpectedly needed to return to Jeddah from Umluj due to an issue, they were incredibly supportive. Not only did they voluntarily check whether they could refund part of my stay — and succeeded — but Nouf and her manager also took it upon themselves to actively look for a taxi to take me back to Jeddah. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. A good hotel is important, but when problems arise, exceptional staff make all the difference. Nouf and her manager handled everything in the best possible way, and I am truly grateful for their help.
