The attached restaurant had good food with very friendly staff (and a lot of meal variety). Good location, central to most places in Koyasan. The staff gave good advice on what to see at night as well.

Everything was perfect! Staff were amazing, the room and facilities not to mention a free breakfast ! They have just about everything you may need as a traveller and more aswell which is super handy and amazing! They hold an intercultural party in the hotel twice a week where everyone from the guesthouse is invited aswell as a few Kyoto locals, sitting around with sake and snacks and chatting to people from all over the world and learning from locals was the highlight of my trip! The Lady who runs the house is also incredibly kind and speaks English very well so I had no trouble with communication. The location is also fantastic, a little ways away from Kyoto station but easy enough to get to with a taxi or bus! There is a convenience store in a 5 minute range, plenty of cafes and restaurants, Kiyomizu Dera is only a 10 minute walk away with much of the more famous areas of Kyoto within a 20 minute radius!

Set within 3.1 km of Sugawara Tenman-gu Shrine and 3.3 km of Jyousenbou Temple, おおさか城北 宿福 provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Osaka.

Everything was amazing! I had luck that this hostel just open so everything was new and clean and "sterile", I could even smell the "new" wood of the furniture. Very well organized in regards to the spaces, lockers and shared rooms! I liked the fact that you had curtains at the bed and a little area to sit downstairs. The only thing I could not find or did not have were towels, which I would have welcomed as I personally usually don't travel with any. Staff was very kind (I was the girl with the big, light blue suitcase, I will definitely try to come back, thank you so much!)

Wow I have no words for this place! It’s was so cozy and super clean, I stayed for 2 nights before hiking the Kumano Kodo and one night after and I felt at home, which allowed me to me to relax and sleep properly before and after the hike. The owner is an extremely nice person, I had a few specific requests and I felt he really wanted to help and make me feel at home, it was amazing and I’m so so grateful for his help. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to just feel at home during long travels. Thank you!!!

The hotel was more than I expected. Great sized room, facilities, staff. Location was perfect. Steps from the old town and we had views of the shrine and kyoto tower from room 401!
