It is a 13 minute train ride to Kyoto and a 12 minute car ride to the station from his house. You get 1 ride to and from the station per day, and there is also a bus if needed. The house is meticulously clean, it is quiet, the bed in the Mountain View room is extremely comfortable, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We spent 3 weeks in Japan and stayed at many hotels and rooms, all very nice. But, I have to say this was by far the best place we stayed at while in Japan. It is located right outside one of the entrances to Kansai University and the train station is steps away. The home is beautifully decorated and the serene atmosphere was relaxing. Our room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts gave us clear instructions on how everything worked and helpful information on the surrounding area. When returning to the area, this will be our first choice. Thank you to the wonderful hosts.
