The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral. The view of the cathedral was just stunning. The rooms were gorgeous and very comfortable and much more spacious that elsewhere I stayed in Europe and the UK. I wish I'd had longer. I really didn't want to leave.

Yes, there's no lift, yes, it's an old creaky building - it there's a book about the buildings on this street, and you can read about it's history, how often can you do that? Anyway, the kitchen has everything you need, there's complimentary coffee and tea waiting for you. Beds are a bit too soft for our liking, but we survived. 😉
