Set in the heart of Orvieto in a historic building, La Magnolia is just 100 metres from the cathedral. It offers free bike rental and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Loved Orvieto., loved the hotel.

Surrounded by countryside at the borders of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio, Altarocca Wine Resort Adults Only has several buildings, rooms and welness suites. Free parking and free WiFi are available. This place is an absolute little gem! The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful, the pools and jacuzzi are excellent and the breakfast, including the amazing outdoor terrace you have it on, are superb. The food and wine at the restaurant are also amazing! Bonus points for all the lovely kitties leisurely walking around the grounds

Hotel Duomo is just 15 steps up the stone stairway from Orvieto's majestic Gothic Cathedral. All rooms feature air conditioning, an LCD TV with DVD player, and a small table with 2 chairs. Location was excellent. The staff was so so helpful and breakfast included delicious scrambled eggs and bacon!

Hotel Il Palazzo is set in the left wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, a 16th-Century building halfway between Assisi's Basilica of Saint Francis and Piazza del Comune square. This property was perfectly located in the heart of this sweet hilltop town :) It was delightfully charming with lovely communal spaces and private rooms - ours looked out over the rooftops :) The service, space, good breakfast and restaurant recommendations made this one of our favorite stops on our Italian adventure!

The rooms and surroundings are incredibly cozy and inviting, and the location is so close to Orvieto that it's an easy walk into town. But the icing on the cake is the host and his family. Carlo delivers a personal service that's above and beyond anything you can expect - he does it all with a smile and a kindness that makes you feel so welcome and relaxed. We'll definitely be coming back
