Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. This ryokan style hotel was one of our best experiences in Japan. The views over the islands of Matsushima were superb - truly one of the 3 great views of Japan! Our room overlooked the famous Fukuurabashi bridge through a picturesque screen of the twisted pine trees that make this view so iconic. The kaiseki style meals were superb - delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was a delight of discovery, awe and wonder. We enjoyed a private onsen bath with sunset views and also visited each of the other public baths over the next day. The views over the bay are simply stunning.

A wonderful place, will definitely try to stay there next time I go to Sendai. Easy to go to the station, comfortable, clean , with a good kitchen to cook meals, nice bathroom, comfy futon/beds. Just be careful and do not listen to google if it tell you to take the road that goes just next to the river, its the back of the house lol
