Its a school converted into a commercial center and they used some parts to mke it a hostel. Facilities are adequate. There is a pizzeria just downstairs. Yoichi and Sam are very welcoming. The free transport to ginzan onsen was really helpful and was the highlight of my trip in Yamagata. I would recommend people to stay there.

Compared to some places I've rated a 10, this could be a 12! Amazing value. It's a short walk from the two main stations (around 10 mins) and about a 20 min walk to the famous bridge. The place was modern (seemed recently opened) and was very clean throughout. I had a single room that was really spacious. The bed was comfy and it was a really quiet area. Best night's sleep in over a week! The kitchen/ lounge area was also spacious and clean. The owner/ staff were also really friendly and stopped in to have a chat. I wish I could have stayed longer - the cafe/ bar downstairs seemed like a cool place. Highly recommend!

Our stay at the guesthouse was a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, Mayuko, the host, made us feel at home and showed us around in her nice house. Our futons were already laid out in a spacious, traditional room. Later that day, at night, she took us by car to the centre of Hachinohe and introduced us to the owners of a food stall with some exquisite food. The next morning we were treated to an extensive and delicious Japanese breakfast with local delicacies. We had rented a car and Mayuko provided us with a perfect itinerary for a day trip, from the remarkable Seagull-temple, to a beautiful hike along the coastline, to the most impressive indoor foodmarket we have seen in Japan. That night Mayuko cooked us a very tasty dinner, before it was time for the highlight of our visit: a performance of traditional Japanese music and dance, performed by the host accompanied by het sister and niece. Mayuko and het sister are top level performers in the field of traditional Japanese singing and dancing. Also very interesting was the explanation of the meaning of the dance and the way their performance art is passed on through the generations. So, if you are looking for a genuine and authentic Japanese experience, visit the guesthouse!

Objekat Guest House Inawashiro~Hanbog~, koji se nalazi u gradu Inawashiro, na 14 km od znamenitosti Mount Bandai, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom, zajedničkim salonom i terasom. Amazing view of rice fields and mountains. I was there out of season but I could only imagine how lovely it is when there are other guests around the bonfire. The host and his mother were very kind lovely people! She played the guitar and sung Japanese songs for me! Coffee on the patio in the morning is priceless and their teas are amazing!

Objekat Guest House Chara, koji se nalazi u gradu Hirosaki, na 34 km od znamenitosti Arheološko nalazište Sannai-Maruyama i 3,5 km od znamenitosti Hirosaki Castle, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom i besplatnim... the staff was so nice and friendly, it is the house of an old couple. its not really a hotel but it just feels like youre staying over at your relatives or something. its very spacious. i really enjoyed the breakfast too.

Warm welcome on arrival from hosts who were so kind and helpful going above and beyond expectations. The delicious freshly prepared breakfast was wonderful. The room was private and area quiet. Best of all was the company of the lovely hosts.
