The caretaker Mr. Nalin and the rest of the staff were very kind to us and assisted us in everything we asked, including arrangements with transfers and tours around the island. The residence itself (including the pool with the area around it) was comfortable and big enough to fit 7 friends. Lots of books about local culture and nature are available for the guests, including birdwatching manuals (and even equipment). Last but not least, the food was delicious, including both western and local cuisine. Highly recommend this place!

Located in Kandy, Mountbatten Bungalow- Thema Collection - Kandy welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and a spacious sun terrace. This property and staff far exceeded our expectations. We would feel comfortable recommending it to our most traveled and discerning friends.

Built in an ancient Colonial-period Bungalow, The Elephant Stables is a beautiful property overlooking Kandy’s lush greenery. It welcomes guests with an outdoor swimming pool and cosy guestrooms. One of the most enchanting places on earth! Nihal took exceptional care of us from the very first moment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and we felt warmly welcomed. The property, the garden, and the pool are truly magical. We enjoyed lunch and breakfast, and both meals were absolutely delicious. The chef Idika came personally to check in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The location is in Kandy, just a five-minute tuk-tuk ride from the city centre. The hotel also kindly offered to drive us back and forth. Overall, a five-star-plus experience.

I highly recommend this place for so many reasons: • Location – easy to reach by car, and you can also take a tuk-tuk. • Cleanliness – everything was spotless. • Cozy atmosphere – it feels warm and welcoming. • Quality design – a tasteful mix of items from different countries and IKEA. • Delicious food – every meal was a treat. • Attentive service – the staff really cares. • Reliable internet – perfect for staying connected. We felt completely at home during our three-day stay. It was warm, with no insects or mold, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. I truly recommend this place. We arrived straight from Colombo Airport to Nishi’s beautiful home in Kandy. Namadi Heights is a lovingly decorated private home filled with family history, memories, and artisanal antique pieces. Hidden in the mountains, it offers a stunning scenic view over the city and yet allows you to reach Kandy center easily by foot or Tuk Tuk. While you stay on the family’s property and can enjoy the outdoor common areas, you also have your own little entrance to a private terrace and the room with private bathroom. Nishi is a wonderful human being and an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, treated us to delicious food (probably the best breakfast we had in all of Sri Lanka!), and was incredibly helpful and supportive in organizing our activities and next travel steps. We unfortunately only stayed 2 nights, but we would have loved to stay longer, especially because we enjoyed our conversations with Nishi and her husband so much! They were our first link to land and culture and we are so grateful for all the information, tips and tricks. Thank you, Nishi and Bandula, for everything, hopefully we will be back sooner than later🫶

Although my stay was brief—just one night—I was thoroughly impressed. Upon arrival, I was welcomed warmly and offered a delicious dinner.My room was beautifully upgraded to feature one large double bed and a single bed, perfect for families or groups. The stunning mountain view from my room was a highlight, and the fast, stable Wi-Fi made my stay even more enjoyable.The location is excellent, just a 23-minute walk from the train station, in a lovely area with good bus connections. Anoma's kindness and helpfulness truly made this homestay a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Objekat Lion Shade Tourist Bungalow - Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Licenced nudi pogled na vrt, besplatan WiFi i besplatan privatni parking, a nalazi se u gradu Katugastota, na 6,1 km od... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Relaxing and very comfortable. Nice, clean and quiet place. Outdoor garden with lush greenery enhanced that experience. Staff are super friendly and helpful. On our request they arranged transportation to attractions in and around Kandy. Sri Lankan breakfast served was fantastic. They have continental type breakfast too. Will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Sri Lanka.
