The hostel is superb. I was staying with my 2 sons for a short ski trip. The facilities are excellent- great showers/ WC facilities- drying room- everything you need - good kitchen, dining and communal areas. Cleanliness is immaculate The hostel is set in an amazing area next to the river. You should have in your mind that it's a hostel and not a 5 star full service hotel

We stayed in the house for a skiing holiday with our extended family (5 adults and 3 kids). Even though Taco and Claudia were new owners to the house, and we haven’t even met them, we felt welcome from the very beginning – every single question was answered, and everything was made clear in the best way they could. They even bought some special equipment for a baby. The house itself, the kitchen, is very well equipped. It was very cosy and warm, even during harsh weather (we visited in February). Perfect for a big family or a group of friends. A few things to pay attention to – this part of the Trysil resort (Høyfjellssenteret) is situated higher on the mountain (around 800 m or so), resulting in lower temperatures, stronger winds, and fewer trees, meaning more exposure to the elements. In winter, it is good to be prepared for this. Ski-in is quite straightforward from lift F6. Skiing out to lift F1 takes around 10–25 minutes, depending on skiing abilities, as the terrain is rather flat. The views were absolutely stunning – a true white winter fairy tale right outside the house. The main view from the house faces east, with a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, if you’re lucky.

The cabin was warm, clean and had a perfectly well equiped kitchen to cook food for 9 people! The location is amazing to go skiing (only 10min from the slopes!!). Very good communication with the owners also! I recommend this place 100% ❄️
