Location was terrific, less than 4 minutes walk from Acla de Fontauna station on the MGB (if you're travelling from Disentis, take the train one station up the line). Very peaceful with nice alpine views and a good base for exploring both the village of Disentis and the Oberalp pass. Check in was easy with the staff speaking good English whenever my rather poor Schweizer Deutsch let me down, and the breakfast was excellent. The room had all the amenities promised and was remarkably comfortable given it's size, and the whole stay was excellent value. The hotel's own restaurant is also one of the better value places to eat in Disentis.

Boasting ski-to-door access, Stoos Lodge is situated in Stoos in the Canton of Schwyz region, 32 km from Einsiedeln Abbey and 43 km from KKL Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne.

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing property right in the heart of Engelberg. The host was very friendly, responsive, and always available for any questions. The apartment has a couple of balconies with comfortable outdoor furniture offering beautiful views of the surroundings — a perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening relaxation. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with plenty of kitchenware and even a couple of electric grills. We also made use of the dishwasher and washer/dryer several times, all of which worked perfectly. The bathrooms and toilets are modern and well furnished. The second shower room even has a sauna, which adds a touch of luxury. The shower pressure was excellent and we never once ran out of hot water. Finally, supermarkets are just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment, which made shopping very convenient.

Fantastic stay. Very happy. Very good communications. The chalet is super well maintained and had everything one might need. They had left plenty of essential items for us on arrival such as tea and coffee, bin bags toilet roll etc. . I am very happy to recommend to you….
