The hostess is wonderfully communicative, friendly and helpful, available at any point to help. She arranged a packed breakfast for one morning, as we were going early to the geysers, and it was much appreciated. The lodge is not walkable from the centre of San Pedro, but that's the beauty - it's silent, in nature, with perfect views of the stars. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Situated in a quite and relaxing environment just 4.4 km of the centre of San Pedro de Atacama, Terra Luna Atacama offers private rooms with access to a large garden and barbecue facilities. We had an amazing experience at Terraluna. The accommodations were impeccably clean and tastefully simple. Maricarmen was exceptionally al warm and welcoming, making our stay truly enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering delicious breakfasts and helpful advice on local activities. Additionally, the location is easy to find, which made our visit even more convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

We used it as a base to make our day trips by rental car to the major desert attractions. Everything was pretty basic and simple but sufficient for our needs. The decor is the typical San Pedro style, rustic and primitive but in a positive sense. We stayed in the two level unit with dining, private kitchen, private bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom upstairs. We had a patio on the ground floor and a balcony off the bedroom. The kitchen included a gas stove, a little fridge and sink. There were some basic pots and kitchen equipment. It was missing a toaster but we found a toasting oven in the common kitchen in the main building. Secure car parking was included on property. The unit was very clean, shower hot and with a good water pressure. The pillows were a little small. The staff were friendly, the caretaker spoke pretty good English, the lady at the reception not much but with the help of the phone translator it was fine. The property is on a street leading straight into the town square where the church and the municipal hall are located. It is a short walk and there is a whole bunch of restaurants and shops along the way.

Just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, Planeta Atacama Lodge offers accommodation in the desert of San Pedro de Atacama. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. We loved our stay at Planeta Atacama Lodge! -We were greeted warmly by Franklin, plus signs welcoming us at the entrance and at our doors. He spoke perfect English and was very friendly and helpful, getting us checked in quickly and walking us through the property. -The view from the room and the common breakfast area was incredible. Rooms face sunrise + volcano, and it's remote enough to see stars very clearly (weather permitting) at night. -Breakfast was delicious, featuring freshly scrambled eggs, delicious bread and accompaniments, fresh juice, and a massive moka pot of coffee. - The room was spacious and clean, with a really cool traditional design - We rented a car for day trips, and it was easy to park on-site.

We truly loved staying outside of the town, which seemed to be hustling and bustling and dusty always. But here you had the treat of clear, dark skies and peace and tranquility. The cabañas themselves were super cute, simple, all you need. And the family was the kindest!! So so sweet, and ready to help with any question you may have. We loved our stay here.

We had an amazing time with Nacho at his place! We shared food, wine & stories! The location is beautiful with hammocks and an outdoor kitchen. We were able to use bikes to get to and from town which made getting groceries very easy. Nacho was a great host, very accommodating, helpful and generous.

Situated 7 km south of San Pedro de Atacama, Casita La Brea offers two types of accommodations, a two bedroom house, and a private apartment. Free private parking is available on site. Casita La Brea was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to San Pedro de Atacama. Raphael and Ian were fabulous hosts. We were not in the area for very long, so our days were packed with activities. Ian had all kinds of suggestions and tips for things to do, as well as what not to do or be aware of, which was super helpful. I would think if you arrived with nothing on your schedule, Ian would have you seeing the best the area has to offer in no time. It was amazing to walk outside each night and feel like we were among the stars. The Casita was clean, inviting and had everything we needed for our stay, and then some! I only wish we had had more time to relax and take in the magnificent views while sipping our morning coffee as the view was spectacular. Highly Recommend Casita La Brea for your stay in San Pedro
