The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

José Celestino Mutis Airport is 3 km from the property, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. This was the favourite place I stayed during this trip to Colombia. The property is right on the beach, with incredible views from the balcony and hammocks. 2 mins to the town and also within walking distance of many good restaurants. The room was so clean and comfortable - fully sealed, so less humid than other places I stayed at in the area, with AC, fan and a TV! And most importantly, Alejandro and his mother are the most wonderful hosts - Alejandro took me for a walk around the town when I first arrived and gave me some great restaurant recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt completely at home here. Muchísimas gracias, Alejandro!

The lodge offers a continental or American breakfast. The staff was excellent, the hotel is right on the beach and the restaurant ran by the family is very good and everybody is nice. The village is very nice, i would recommend visiting Termales.

Hale and Sergio are simply the best hosts you can have, very welcoming, informative about things to do and very heart warming people. They also cook like the gods! I work in the tourism industry and have seen a lot of places there. Don´t doubt it, this is a genuine treasure.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.
