We stayed at Starlight Mountain Lodge at the beginning of our Quilotoa Loop hike and honestly had the best time. The host, Alejandro, was incredible and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. All the food was organic, freshly baked, and lovingly prepared by the owner, and everything was absolutely delicious. Our room had a direct view of the mountains, which made the whole experience feel incredibly peaceful and grounding. In the evenings, we played guitar by the fire and fully enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the lodge, it felt like a special moment away from everything. We felt genuinely cared for during our stay. We would highly recommend Starlight Mountain Lodge to anyone starting the Quilotoa Loop or simply looking for a peaceful mountain retreat.

The hostel was absolutely amazing! You could see Cotopaxi from the common area if the weather was nice. The hostel helped me book a horseback riding tour, which was so beautiful and an amazing experience. The breakfast had a variety of fruits, bread and eggs. I also had dinner there, it was such great value for the money and a great place to meet other people while enjoying a delicious meal. I can highly recommend this hostel, I will definitely come back here. Thank you so much for the awesome and friendly hospitality!!:)

Was a bit sceptical of the near 10 rating but it lived up to the hype totally. This might be the first 10 I give. Staff was helpful, the cottage has a very cozy atmosphere, the spa is really nice, coffee was included and they even had artesanal cervezas! Perfect!

The staff were amazing, attentive and helpful. The family made sure that the fire was always going to keep us warm, gave us milk for teas and coffees daily and made sure all our other needs were met. The cooking was £8 per person and did not disappoint, it was very delicious and filling.
