From the cute little huts to the super kind and capable staff, we were happy about everything! We want to point out the excellent organization of our pick up and drive by Yusuf, the welcome at the lodge, then the core piece the jungle trekking with Andi who was so knowledgeable about orang-utans and the rain forest. The food at the lodge was great too. Bukit Lawang is a place where things still seem intact and tourists are decent and treated kindly too. If it wasn‘t so far, I would go back in a heartbeat. It was an exceptionnal experience!

Tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer un tour de 2 dias por la selva y gracias a los guias (Mawan y Rudi) fue increible. Se preocuparon de todo y ademas saben hacer hasta trucos de magia! Se lo trabajan y eso nota y sobre todo se agradece. Asique recomendadisimo este lugar y sin duda para repetir!! 🙂

The owner is a very kind elementary school teacher who lives near the homestay with his family. I stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the cleanliness, the hot water in the shower, the excellent WiFi, the exceptional view from the back porch, and the incredible hospitality of the whole family.

The staff are so friendly and kind and made me feel at home and part of their family. I will never forget them. The rooms are spacious and the views are stunning. It is possible to swim and snorkel from the small beach.
