The staff is absolutely kind and they helped us with everything, from excursions, explanations until taxi to the airport. We had a perfect full day in the jungle with our guide DINO who helped us with any doubt. We enjoyed and had fun while trekking. He is very funny and we recommend him 100% if you want to see the most beautiful animals such as big male orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, gibbons, birds and many more.

We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. The location of the lodge was great, away from the busy village and surrounded by the peaceful jungle. The best is falling asleep to the jungle sounds and being able to watch wild monkeys from the wooden huts. There's no electricity so make sure to charge all your devices beforehand. Highly recommend.

I stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the cleanliness, the hot water in the shower, the excellent WiFi, the exceptional view from the back porch, and the incredible hospitality of the whole family.
