Atsuki and his family are incredible hosts and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The meditation sessions in the morning were amazing, Atsuki explained everything so well for beginners. The hosts are so warm and welcoming, making our stay in Koyasan our most memorable one in Japan! The house is beautifully done, stunning meditation room, kitchen with coffee and tea and beautiful bedrooms. The house is well located and quiet. I absolutely recommend staying here :)

I expected it to be very ‘rustic’ considering the price but it was perfect! The rooms were super roomy (not just by Japanese standards..) and super clean and equipped with everything you might need to warm/cook your meals, comfortable beds and best of all- beautiful French doors by the kitchen table where the deer approach in the morning. The staff that was working (or manger?) was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us pointers about the area, he even pointed out an illuminated temple nearby. Made our stay extra special. Would wholeheartedly recommend!
