We had a fantastic time at Casa Cactus in Buenavista. Jey, Sebastian, and their staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We followed their advice on what to visit in the area and where to eat, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere at the house was very comfortable and relaxing, and we truly felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Buenavista is a very calm and local village with super friendly people — away from the noise of Bacalar, but close enough if you want to make a quick visit. We especially loved the breakfast – everything was fresh and delicious, with both continental and local options (the best cochinita pibil we’ve tried!). The facilities were also excellent: clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. One of the highlights of our trip was the sailing excursion. Sebastian took us on a sailboat through the Bacalar Lagoon, where we could see the beautiful colors of the water and take a swim. Afterwards, he treated us to some mojitos and guacamole. We highly recommend Casa Cactus and would definitely love to come back!

This was a beautiful room in a very lovely lush jungle area. The room was very large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft and the rain shower head with hot water was the best shower I have had in Mexico. There was a fully stocked kitchen to cook. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It isn't so close to the center but it was really easy to call a taxi, and their prices were fine. Really relaxing, it was nice waking up to the sounds of nature. The kayaks and access to the lagoon were great. I'm definitively going to stay there again. The little communal kitchen and water dispenser was a big bonus.

On the patio there are many different chairs and sunbeds. The common kitchen has everything you need. Convenient location, compared to other hotels and in the depths of the jungle. We would definitely come back to this place!

Clean, good service, and in a good location. Also in front of cabañas theres a spot on the beach where everyone can rest and go in. Since restaurants own every part of the beach 😅 Theres also free bikes from the property I definitely come back and stay here again! Thanks
