Such great hosts! The room was comfortable and clean and they went out of the way to make sure we were warm and cozy…heater in the room, hot water for tea, hot water bottles to warm the beds, and tons of blankets. They transported us wherever we needed to go and made arrangements for our tour to Taquile. The food was yummy and the bed was comfortable. We even had a shower with hot water! I would highly recommend them for a stay on Uros!

Great location! Beautiful, friendly and very helpful host family. They prepared for us fantastic dinner and breakfast. We experienced an incredible view of the sunset over the lake, followed by the sunrise the next morning. A beautiful place and lovely people living there.

This intimate, welcoming lodge is the passion project of Don Mario and Mama Lea, both born and raised right here in the Uros community. They sustain their small floating island by harvesting reeds from the lake and by running this remarkable B&B with care, pride, and generosity. Mornings are magical. Sunrise over the lake is exquisite, the water often perfectly still, and the birdlife abundant. We found ourselves slowing down completely — reading books, braving the cold lake waters during the warmest part of the day, and playing cards together in the cozy dining hut. The peace here is profound. Don Mario offers a two-hour boat tour through the village, guiding guests through the reed beds while explaining how generations of Uros have used these reeds to cook, build, and navigate the lake they hold sacred. It was deeply moving and fascinating to learn about a way of life that feels both ancient and fragile, yet still very much alive. Both Mario and Lea are also gifted artisans. Don Mario creates drawings that beautifully capture the lake and its culture, while Mama Lea transforms these designs into pillow covers, table runners, and wall hangings that are truly lovely and meaningful keepsakes. A few practical notes: the showers are gravity-fed and solar-heated, which means lower water pressure and the hottest water in the late afternoon. The midday sun is intense, so wide-brimmed hats and sunscreen are essential. Finally, a word about Uros itself. Before arriving, I read many reviews dismissing the islands as a tourist trap rather than a genuine community. While tourism clearly plays an important role in the local economy, it is equally clear that this is a real, living community with deep roots. The Uros have existed here for countless generations, passing down knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship. They are skilled fishermen and masters of using reeds for nearly everything imaginable.

Must do for everyone who’s visiting Puno.

Тут для зручності гостей ресторан. the breakfast was okay, freshly prepared by the owner of the property. not much option, but you will have coffee or tea with pancakes with fresh fruits. the room we stayed overlooks the city lights at night and it is very romantic. during the day, the room gets really hot, however, we get to do lake tours with the owner. for a very reasonable price. lunch/dinner can be provided by owner for a fee, we opt to eat at nearby restaurants. and the owner can speak english very well.

When I made the booking, I couldn't fully understand how a lodge could have a full score of "10" on both booking and Google. By the time we had our first meal there, we started to appreciate the effort and care our hosts put into this lovely place and understand why all the guests love this place! The lodge was clean, cozy, well-built, and beautifully decorated, in our guest room, on the deck, in the dining room...everywhere! Our hosts Juan and his wife took great care of us - Juan took us to the floating islands after we arrived at Titikaka and showed us around his neighborhood in the afternoon. He also told us what life is like for his family on the Titikaka. We were served delicious and fresh meals throughout the day in a lovely dining room. Eating in a cozy dining room with a window view of the breathtaking Lake was a memorable experience. We also had a chance to play with two of his kids and their house pets. Everything was lovely, I wish I stayed longer and I look forward to returning to this place!

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. Eddy, his dad and mom Salome were incredibly sweet. If you're looking for an authentic stay on Lake Titicaca, look no further! They made us a generous dinner when we arrived, gave us hot water bottles to stay warm during the night (we were impressed by our room, great view and plenty of space), breakfast the next morning, and Eddy kindly took us for a little boat tour around the area before our Taquille excursion, and even showed us his new kittens!!! They also kept our luggage for us after we checked out, and both taxis from our bus in Puno to take us to the dock were very punctual.
