Very clean with simple minimal amenities, (which I liked). It is cold in December so pack accordingly. I requested an extra blanket and I was given a warm heavy one and I slept the best here since coming to Vietnam. The host makes great dinner and breakfast. She is very kind. Her husband is the tour guide and will take you on a river cruise tour to many spots, such as visiting a cave, waterfalls, even let you hop in Ba Be Lake to go swimming if you like. Be aware that the people live simply here in the countryside, unlike the hustle and bustle of the city. This to me is the real authentic Vietnam without the commercialized city of Hanoi. If you want quiet and peace and want to stay with a loving family at a great value, I recommend this homestay. The facility is very clean and I felt very safe as a solo traveler. If you come here with the right perspective, you will be pleasantly surprised.
