Everything was spotless, the accommodation was very well equipped, the furnishings were very tasteful and the garden was great with gorgeous views. Perfect for our family group and two dogs. A lot of space in the house and garden. The garden was fenced off so our dog was free to roam. The location on a clear night has views that rival the Galloway dark skies park, we saw hundreds of stars! Wine was provided along with access to Netflix and other streaming services.

The Station Hotel is a lovely private hotel which is a restored old building and it's gorgeous. The room was generous, the bathroom was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts, Jackie and Colin really looked after us and we had a lovely night stay. The hotel was quiet, the food was good and the continental breakfast was generous.

Lovely rural setting and beautiful view from the room I was allocated. Brenda, the host, is absolutely a delight and will go out of her way to make you feel welcome! Extremely comfortable, clean, lovely decor in the room and breakfast was delicious. Definitely give this place a whirl as you will not be disappointed!

The house and grounds are beautiful, clean and well maintained. The hosts are on site and are a lovely couple, very helpful and accommodating, was nice talking with them. I will definitely be coming back. The Norwegian bbq and hot tub make the garden even more delightful, there was an endless supply of wood to keep these going. The kids loved the rope swings, the ponies and feeding the chickens. They loved exploring in the woods and down by by the river. The town has shops near by, walking distance really, including a bakery and a chippy. Loads of places to visit within driving distance.
