This was a super cute apartment. It had everything we needed! It was very clean and comfortable. Had an AC unit in the upper floor which was very much needed with the heat wave. There was small cafe walking distance which we enjoyed grabbing bites to eat. Sonia gave us great recommendations for dinner and activities to do. OF course, the highlight was the Marvao Castle. But she recommended we go to a town pool. This was so much fun and needed (it was 100 degrees F)! She also recommend a great restaurant-- we loved the family feel to it! We highly recommend this place! We only stayed one night. I regret that now. I would have rather stayed two nights in Marvao and one in Evora. (next time!)

Lovely house in the countryside. the town was so quaint. You are right by a beautiful church and an old elegant train station. There were rail bike tours right by the house. wish we had booked a tour in advance because they were popular. near to Marvao castle. went swimming in the Praia Fluvial in Portagem. Linda was very helpful and a great host.

Very nice and clean room. The area was very nice and peaceful. The host is really welcoming and friendly, when we arrived we got to choose our room. she gave us some nice information about the region and some good advice for day-trips. The breakfast was amazing, huge variety with fresh fruits. If you are planing your holidays in this area, this guesthouse is the best place you can choose.

Amazing 1926? building and stay at a now inactive building that is part of the closed Train Station next door. It looks like the Train Station but the ground floor has a large room with a fireplace that was used as a cafeteria eating area. No trains run on the railroad tracks and the location is very quiet day or night. The old kitchen where you make your own breakfast with owner-supplied bread, eggs, etc. has a fantastic original cast-iron range stove and huge marble sink. The entire ground floor is original. The second floor has upgraded bedrooms and bathrooms. Great exterior like Train Station with original Portuguese hand painted blue/white tiles. Hotel-recommended, nearby restaurants are excellent. The man and his sister who manage the hotel are friendly and very helpful. They are great hosts.

The place was great, with lots of room, the outside was gorgeous, really well looked after with the pool. The host left us some food like bread and wine so all of that was much appreciated. The place was very clean and honestly, we were really sad that we weren't able to stay for longer.

Beautiful property with exceptional hosts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and very cool even in the extreme heat. The pool is absolutely amazing. The hospitality and friendliness of the hosts really made our stay special.

The building said wow! as soon as you walked in. Interesting design inside and a well appointed interior. Sunshine and a swimming pool - what's not to like!
