Good value for money during the winter season.

Located in Jindabyne town center, Vikas is just a 25-minute drive from the Snowy Mountains. Staff were great, facilities fresh and fully renovated. One of the better value for money accommodation venues I've used for a small group booking of motorcycle riders.
Fantastic spot on the lake. Gorgeous outlook. Great bistro and pub. Great place for dinner. Yum food. A few unruly guests with a verbal fight and swearing and loud music and partying. Kept my husband and next room up. I slept through. Maybe not the best for sensitive kids? Beautiful buffet breakfast! Yum. Fill up and not need to buy lunch. Close to shops and other amenities. Possum I’m the roof but this is Australia. Only bad thing was no exhaust fan in the bathroom (stinky with adults eating provided buffet breakfast). Oh and no drying room. But we were ok. Overall a nice stay :) breakfast made it. Thanks chefs :) thanks Jindy hotel x would come back again. Thanks for having us
My actual stay at my the Snowy Valley hotel was awful. The hotel had booked 3 University groups at the same time as a couple of other families. They then proceeded to let them play loud music and slam doors until 11.15pm when I complained the 2nd time and they finally shut it down. Gower, the same happened the next night until ai complained again. Wit h 11 year old child who got no sleep until 12pm on both nights. I would not stay at this hotel ever again.
It is conveneient and close to snowy mountains. A 30 minute drive is easy to mange to the mountains. The accomodation in Jindabyne is way over priced and in the snowy season you really feel ripped off as A. there is no accomodation , B. and the one which is available is usually 3 star motels charging you over 600$ a night for very basic rooms. The dealings of motels what we dealt with was less than ideal.
Great place in Winter as a base for Thredbo and Perisher. Summer sport is great as well. Access to the mountains for hiking, mountain biking, or lake as well. Easy to get around and such a friendly place.
Great town to use as a base camp to access the high country towns, Mt Kozi, and the many activities to do in the area (be it gin tasting or horse riding). There is a couple of different supermarkets to chose from if self catering and a good mix of restaurants and bars if you don't want to cook.
I love the Snowy Mts, and particularly enjoyed walking in the National Park bushlands, walking on the path towards Kosciuszko (don't forget sun protection), and being beside any one of the rivers. It is central and convenient. Can recommend the information centre, the Parc Cafe (next door) and the Italian restaurant, La Famiglia (these both catered to gluten free).
The hotel is exceptionally well located on the shores of Lake Jindabyne, with easy walking access to the lake and its surrounds. The room was small but clean, and had a modest balcony with lovely views north to the lake. The motel has a distinct 1960s feel, but it's well maintained and the breakfast was very good. I particularly liked the number of powerpoints in my room - 14 in all. So many hotel rooms have one or two powerpoints, but I was able to charge a multitude of devices without any hassle at all.
Jindabyne
Location is central to everything in Jindabyne and a good base for snow activities, shopping, visitors centre, movies, dining etc. The foyer area with the fire is a great place to relax with a book and Joshua at reception was always friendly. Beds were comfortable and our loft room was nicely set out, if a little dated. The shower was lovely and warm, perfect after a day in the snow, and the central heating kept the room a comfortable temperature.
Beds were comfortable and cosy. Room was warmed up pre arrival which was very nice after a long day on the slopes. Shower facilities were great with awesome water pressure and no problems with temperature! The Station also has a Pizzeria and Bar on the property making dinner easy not having to drive not Jindabyne at night.

Hosts Claire and David were very friendly, flexible and helpful with local knowledge about what to see and do. The room was cosy with a view of the lake and the breakfast was great. Will definitely be first on the list when revisiting Jindabyne.
Jindabyne
Friendly staff, delicious and cheap hot breakfast made to order, newly renovated and clean rooms and ensuites, walking distance into the town centre for groceries or to eat out. A step up from your run of the mill hostel or ski lodge.
Jindabyne
If you didn't mind driving 15 minutes to Jindabyne to get food, or the dirt road leading to the property, or getting mud into your car from the muddy car park spaces, or lack of any staff onsite, the actual room was fairly clean.
Jindabyne
The check-in and check-out procedures are very smooth. The location is great (though it's Jindabyne so everything is very close anyway). The room is pretty good too.
