The house is beautiful and so well maintained - water views from kitchen and lounge, central heating for cosy indoor stay and all the amenities required (plus more). We were 4 families with two toddlers and had everything in the house to cater for all ages. Its spacious, clean with lovely decor in every nook and corner. To add, Gavin is an amazing host. Highly recommend this little gem - by far the best staycation we have had.

Absolutely loved this bright, clean, spacious apartment which was a home from home during our first week in Australia from the UK as it had everything you could want! The hosts were amazing, regularly checking that we had everything we needed and Lake Macquarie was such a good choice to stay as it felt so safe. The lake is beautiful & parking at the property was easy (on the drive). Warners bay was just a short car journey away with shops, restaurants, theatre. From this base we were able to drive to beautiful beaches (Redhead was our favourite) I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again in a heartbeat if I visited Australia again. Thank you Max and Gabrielle for a wonderful stay!

A lovely room with nice decor. We had a room at the rear of the property overlooking the river, which was beautiful and very tranquil. Great location with a supermarket, restaurants and a bar just across the road. Also it is only a few minutes drive to Caves Beach, which is stunning.

Thoroughly enjoyed the location the roomy house having upstairs and downstairs the bedrooms were well outfitted with comfortable beds walk in robes plenty of coat hangers and space access from master bedroom to the morning sunny deck over looking the lake we cooked each dinner time and were out in Belmont, warners bay and Swansea at lunch times thats the beauty of a house one can cook

Great location, very private and a beautiful view.

Great location, very private and a beautiful view. Access to a jetty, kayaks, paddle boards and fishing equipment. The house was perfect, had everything you need. The fridge and pantry were stocked, didn’t really need to leave for anything. There were also little things that made it extra special like wine, chocolates, slippers, and toiletries just in case you forget yours.

The hosts thought of absolutely everything for an incredible stay. From all Breakfast supplies and condiments, to a bottle of Champagne on arrival with a cheese platter and biscuits. The fruit bowl was full, there was juice and milk in the fridge. Chocolates on the bed. There was a fire pit with wood for the fire. Duck food to feed the 3 local ducks that visited each afternoon. Prawns in the fridge to have a fish with the fishing rods supplied. Paddle Boards and kayaks. Board games to play. Amazing experience. Great location and Beautiful Boat House. We didn't leave for two days.
