Love the beach and the walks along the esplanade with the stunning palms. So many options with restaurants cafes and found the staff all very friendly. It’s very relaxing place to spend 7-10 days. Easy drive to surrounding places, port Douglas cairns and markets. If you’re interested in water activities there are options. Life saving club was great and Elgreko Greek restaurant was fantastic

Trendy tropical village by the sea. Not too big though having all the shops and restaurants including new mini supermarket that one would need. Very close to yacht clubs and other bistros and restaurants all within 10 to 15 mins drive. Large supermarket shopping precinct only 15mins away by car. 25mins to the airport & 30mins to Cairns.Jackie - Scored 1010

Great for couples and those that have trouble switching off - us! We come every year and know it's the one week a year we will defrost from Melbourne, relax, unwind and have a proper break. Best coffee and toasties at 27 Degrees, Rattle & Hum to watch the AFL and the Surf Club for great meals. Hire a car and go to Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery Mossman, not what you think - grapes are a fruit remember - lovely owners, great service and shipped our wine back to Vic.

Palm Cove is an idyllic spot!
Palm Cove is an idyllic spot! Sarayi Boutique Hotel is right on the Esplanade and only about 50 metres from the beach! Our room was comfortable, but did not have a view, which was not too bad, as it was so easy to get to the beach. We loved being able to walk along the Esplanade and dine at various excellent restaurants. Sarayi is right next door to a prestigious hotel whose tariff is three times that of Sarayi's, with no advantage in its position!NigelaineAustralia - Scored 1010
We like the location of Palm Cove.
We like the location of Palm Cove. It's easy to get to the Kuranda Sky Rail, the Cairns lagoon, Reef trips and all the other sights in that area. We did a big day trip down to Paronella Park, which was a great drive and you can see many many banana and sugar plantations. The only thing that caught is out wa she local supermarkets close at 6pm on Sundays! Funtastic place to stay, and can't wait to go back again next year. The local Surf Club does a great meal and likewise the local Tavern. Great morning walks along the beach and back thorugh all the lovely boutique shops.
