Located in Torquay, The Sands Torquay features a bar, a tennis court and a terrace. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. Breakfast was great, golf was amazing but it was the staff that made the stay exceptional, they were friendly efficient and nothing was a bother. Wonderful

Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park is a beachfront campground located at the start of the picturesque Great Ocean Road. I like the cosiness of the property and it is clean, tidy and spacious! At first I thought I am going to stay in a caravan but it is actually a cabin with so many facilities like kitchenette and a sofa couch, it even has an oven.I felt so much at home! The hair dryer has it’s wire attached at the bottom and it is not fix to the wall, so u can pull it to your desired length and also and blow your hair at the comfort of your room instead of standing in the toilet. You have a cottage-feel cabin all to yourself and you can park your car right next to it, this really helps in the unloading and loading of our luggages. If you are someone who are particular about the towels, the towels are really clean and have a nice fragrance. The towels passed my wife’s inspection and she used it! The beach is just a few minutes walk away which you can access from the back gate of the property and there is a kiosk at the beach as well. The location is superb, surrounded by restaurants and cafes.

Just 0.6 mi from Torquay Main Beach, Ingenia Holidays Torquay offers a solar-heated outdoor pool, a spa and a large variety of sports facilities. The staff at reception were so friendly. The large 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in was great! Lots of space, big, fully equipped kitchen, large living area and comfy beds. Great facilities for kids. We loved playing tennis and mini golf with our son and he LOVED the jumping pillow! Super close to the beach, shops and restaurants. We'll be back in January when we can use the pool (a bit too chilly in July!). Thanks!

You need more than one night to explore and enjoy Torquay. Found a few of the restaurants that was advertised in the booklet are now closed . The Italian restaurant was lovely . The strip of surf shops and the outlets were great. Also the Vintage Garage was great to browse through.
The location was very peaceful and an easy drive to a number of attractions in the area. Although there were 3 cottages on the property each cottage was situated in such a way as to provide privacy for the occupants. We loved being able to have our dog (Vincent) stay inside with us and were more than happy to respect the request not to have him in the bedrooms or on the furniture. The wood burning fire was a lovely touch - with a ready supply of cut wood to keep it going. We didn't see the owners, however all email and phone contact was prompt and very pleasant and we look forward to meeting Jacqui and Gavan in person next time. The cottage was cosy, clean and had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing stay. Torquay itself was a relaxed, laid back coastal town with a very friendly vibe and great scenic views as you walked along its Esplanade. Thank you for a lovely stay!
The park was big there was enough room for our van the camp kitchen was well stocked with utensils, tea towels and pots and pan, very clean and tidy. The amenities were clean a spacious loved our night there the beach was so close shops were just outside the park we arrived after closing but worth a mention beautiful location we will be back the start of the great ocean road a must visit .Staff friendly and helpful
Fabulous house, family friendly and very comfortable. Centrally located, easy to walk to the beach and into town area. We hope to return another time. Thank-you for making your house available as is hard to find larger houses for the family to fit in.
We went for a gig which just happened to be at this hotel. It was perfect for an afternoon of drinks before the gig. The food was pretty good also, quite unexpected and I can highly recommend the passionfruit cocktail.
Amazing cafe, The Salty Dog, located right on the actual beachfront on Fishermans Beach. We found (in Jan 2022) the temperature was perfect, however it was windy in the afternoons moreso than the mornings, meaning (for us) it was better to get the majority of the beaching done in the AM. Super easy to walk into/around town. There is a Woolworths, Coles and an IGA within a 3min walk from the radius of the main street/beachfront intersection. Amazing Japanese food at the Funky Ninja, if you are after quick takeaway sushi/hot snack food (i.e dim sim, spring rolls, honey chicken skewer, etc.), to a full service restaurant with lovely staff. Just a tip, during peak seasons either book early in advance at any of the popular restaurants, or be prepared to wait a while, or order takeaway. Plenty of good walking paths alongside the beachfront and the esplanade for a post dinner stroll with your icecream. The local drivers almost always stopped for you to cross the road, even when they had the right of way. This of course changed as the weekend travellers/daytrippers started appearing though so keep your wits around road safety from Fri-Sun. Oh, and we had the best almond croissant from Morta Deli located down a little alleyway off Gilbert St (the main street)
Torquay
Totally loved the property! It was a cosy place to stay away from home. The place was suited close to the beach and the amenities around Torquay. It was clean and whatever we needed was available - all we needed to bring were our food, linen (if you want to use yours) and clothes. Furnishings were lovely and classy, and there were available bikes to go around the area. Big plus for being pet friendly too! Christine was very helpful and responds to messages right away.
Torquay
The house was clean, cool and comfy. We enjoyed the big open space upstairs. We did not need aircon. The outdoor seating was clean and comfy and had a nice quiet view of the canal. Kitchen was well-appointed. We enjoyed the tennis court. Staff kindly returned our charger to us that we left behind.
Torquay
The location looking out over the ocean was superb! The beds were comfy, there were ample soft lighting choices in the bedrooms, and the living area was large enough to fit everyone comfortably. Such great value for money for a family trip

Was in a great location and was well fitted out for our family. The yard was very disappointing as was so overgrown with spider webs on everything!
The room was clean and very spacious. The hotel was close by the beach. You could hear the waves at night from our room. Staff were very friendly.
