Great location to then access most other places in the Yarra Valley. Plenty of good wineries and distilleries around and you don’t want to have to drive too far for those! Food could get a little tricky within Yarra Glen but we found lots of places to eat in Healesville and Lilydale (both within 15-20min drive away)

Great area for wine tasting with many wonderful winery choices as well as enjoyed the tour of amazing local Alowyn Gardens and then the huge chocolate factory & gift shop - Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.

Main reason for visit was visiting wineries and dining but you have to plan ahead as each place have different trading hours. Next time I would definitely not visit Healesville on a Sunday as parking was impossible. Locale at DeBortoli and Quarters at Hubert Estate were highlights for dining and Hubert’s for personal wine tasting. Four Pillars was also well worth a visit for small group gin tasting experience but wise to book ahead for everywhere.

Yarra Glen is quite picturesque and along with Healesville has that rural feel especially the local pubs. Probably more of a winter destination, it is only a bit over an hours drive from Melbourne which is quite relaxing in itself.

Lots of wonderful shops in the town including several antique shops and coffee shops. Big IGA around the back. Great wineries and beer/gin distilleries to explore and a cheese factory as well. Picks would be Domaine Chandon , Yering Station, Meletos and the 4 Pillars Gin distillery at Healesville.

Location is great and the place is beautiful and tranquil. Good restaurant on site. We were upgraded to a garden room which was lovely. A great place to chill out or use as a base for the Yarra Valley area. Staff were very helpful and friendly/
